The Nobel Peace Prize on Friday was awarded to a Congolese doctor and a Yazidi former captive of the Islamic State group for their work to highlight and eliminate the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war.
Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad “have made a crucial contribution to focusing attention on, and combating, such war crimes,” the Norwegian Nobel Committee said in its announcement.
“Denis Mukwege is the helper who has devoted his life to defending these victims. Nadia Murad is the witness who tells of the abuses perpetrated against herself and other.”
Mukwege has treated thousands of women in Congo, many of whom were victims of gang rape. Armed men tried to kill him in 2012, forcing him to temporarily leave the country.

Exactly! I was suspicious of the Peace Prize politics when Arafat was a co-winner in the 90’s. But when Carter won in 2002, for brokering a Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty with the Norks and 2 weeks later we found out they had nuclear weapons, I KNEW it was nothing but political. I was screaming ‘give back the Prize AND the money’. Of course, I am No One, so No One else heard me. The Nobel Prizes are not anything close to what they meant back in the day. There is NOTHING the Left won’t politicize.
Summary: Kill all savages.
Not surprised. It serves two purposes:
1. That the #me too movement and it’s spinoffs are here to stay and:
2. That ALL the faith communities MUST not just clean house, but promote respect between men and women.
Of course it would be about sex.

If President Trump singlehandedly cured cancer, the yayhoos of Oslo would give the Nobel prize in medicine to a podiatrist who cured ingrown toenails

As a sufferer of an ingrown toenail, I would support that award.
After all the nobel prizes are useless anyway and President Trump does not need the money :D
These people literally put their lives at risk so give them the prize and money. obama did nothing for his ‘prize’.
During his administration he caused the suffering these people are going thru.
