Reid changed the cloture rule for judicial nominees to a simple majority. Republicans tried to warn him not to but he thought Hillary would be next president. She would heavily load the courts with liberals who would legislate from the bench. That quickly came back to bite thin the butt.

Trump could have his private jet on standby and pay out of pocket for the honorable Senator to get home in time for the wedding. And

This is more important to the country than his daughters wedding. It’s already been delayed for way too long. This is a special situation regarding one of the most important issues impacting our country. It would be stupid to delay it any longer over a wedding that means nothing to the country. Maybe they should work harder and get things done faster to avoid these situations, but prior plans of Senators can be put on hold and shouldn’t be taken into account if they will delay things further.
