The Supreme Court nominee was questioned by local authorities in 1985 following a bar fight after a UB40 concert. Following a report in The New York Times that revealed embattled Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh was questioned by the New Haven Police Department following a 1985 bar fight after a UB40 concert, a spokesperson for the band provided Billboard with a statement about the incident Tuesday.
According to the report, Kavanaugh was an undergraduate at Yale when he was accused of throwing ice onto another man, whom a friend said Kavanaugh believed was the singer of the reggae-pop band.
Obviously, there must have been an assault because the police were called and a report was filed, but this is a case of mistaken identity and has nothing to do with UB40," a spokesperson for UB40, founding member guitarist/vocalist Robin Campbell, tells Billboard. (Singer Ali Campbell left the group in 2008.)

Blast from the past.......................
Judge Kavanaugh, isn't it true that as a 13 year old altar boy you sexually molested a priest?
He threw ice at the band!!!!
Death penalty is the only answer!!!!
I got into more ####ing bar fights than i can count and who hasn’t?
But when you live on an Island where many older teens and young 20 somethings think they’re going to be the next John Gotti, you’re gonna get into a lot of fights whether you want to or not.
Please.
“Judge, have you ever forgotten to flush the toilet after use?”
Red, red wine, goes to my head, makes me forget . . . .
UB40 felt they needed to put out a statement? Did they also interview of the mayor of the city where the incident took place? Obviously, since this was of such a huge magnitude, the mayor had to be kept apprised of ice throwing (reportedly) and name calling. If he was a Democrat, I’m sure he can corroborate the whole thing and put Kav behind bars for his part in it. Find the Mayor! Get answers!
If the ice flew, then Kav knew. I want him locked up for life and his life ruined!
As an aside, I know a woman who thinks Kav’s life deserves to be ruined, no matter if Ford is telling the truth or not. The only thing that matters is that women feel comfortable coming forward and if it helps just one sexually assaulted woman do that, then it doesn’t matter if the man’s life gets ruined the process. This is the level of thinking on the Left.

= = =
Better alert the Pope.
These alter boys have been causing lots of trouble.
Or much worse, from the feminazi perspective, “Judge, have you ever used the toilet and left the seat up?”
Flush?
Worse yet, have you ever left the seat UP??????
No such thing as bad publicity, I s’pose.
you think?
Throwing ice on somebody is a “bar fight”? ROTFLMAO. Glad I grew up in Arizona and live in Texas.
I heard he leaves the seat up. Crucify him!!!!!!!!!!
Red, red wine, goes to my head,
Makes me forget that I
Still need you so
Red, red wine, it’s up to you
All I can do, I’ve done
But memories won’t go
No, memories won’t go
I’d have thought that with time
Thoughts of you would leave my head
I was wrong, now I find
Just one thing makes me forget
Red, red wine, stay close to me
Don’t let me be alone
It’s tearing apart
My blue, blue heart
I’d have
That was originally a Neil Diamond song.
Okay, this is reaching the point of comedy.
You said it :-).
Somehow I knew UB40 was going to be brought into this. Has anyone heard if Erasure has made a statement?
Or Fine Young Cannibals ... Have they issued a statement?
Im glad I was hitting the bars in the 70s and early 80s. Ive seen plenty of bar fights and none of them were ice throwing ones. Lol
