Republican Sen. Jeff Flake admitted on Sunday that had he been running for re-election in Arizona, requesting the FBI to investigate allegations of sexual misconduct against Judge Brett Kavanaugh would have made him unelectable to the Senate.
The Arizona senator voted yes to advance Kavanaughs Supreme Court nomination out of the Senate Judiciary Committee and into the full Senate on Friday with the condition that an FBI probe would briefly investigate Christine Blasey Fords accusation of sexual abuse against the judge.
Flake notably announced that he would not be running for re-election in October 2017. CBS News Scott Pelley asked Flake if he had been seeking to hold his Senate seat, would he have been able to demand an investigation.

Herein lies the double-edged sword of term limits. Being forced to serve out a last term makes politicians into petty little dictators.
At least if they can run again, they’re more likely to hold the party line.

Bongino was theorizing on his show today that Flake is angling for a media gig. Makes sense as his political career is even more dead now than it was a week ago, if that is possible

Here is a man admitting that he has a poor character without even realizing that he is doing so. He's screaming to the world that he's a political whore. But if he thinks that's going to endear him to Democrats, he's got another think coming.

"Bongino was theorizing on his show today that Flake is angling for a media gig." NBC could hire him to, "costar" with Megan Kelly.

I can see Megan Kelly yelling at him, “LOOK AT ME WHEN I’M SPEAKING TO YOU” a couple of times a show.

Actually, it was Dr. Kelli Ward who scared him out of the Senate and as thanks the electorate nominated Flake light and not Ward.

That was arranged by the Bush League Republicans.
They’ve been manipulating the primaries for years.
They are so determined for US not to have any anti-amnesty Senators, they help the Democrat win if their guy/gal is not the nominee.
