The F.B.I. moved on Sunday to quickly complete an abbreviated investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, even as Democrats demanded more information about the inquiry’s scope, warning that its apparent constraints could make it a “farce.”…
Officials said the F.B.I.’s “limited” supplemental background check of Judge Kavanaugh could be finished by Monday morning. Set in motion late last week by three Senate Republicans, the inquiry was supposed to shed further light on accusations that Judge Kavanaugh engaged in sexual misconduct during his high school and college years and help resolve the fierce national debate over whether he should win confirmation to the Supreme Court.
But the investigation’s apparent narrow reach has infuriated the judge’s critics, who said he should be subjected to a wide-ranging examination of his drinking and possible sexual misconduct.

FBI would basically be admitting that they effed-up on the six prior background investigations.

They’ve done six background checks on him already without finding a crime, so why would they expect to find anything now?

Heck, how many tens of thousands of Hillary’s emails did the FBI go through in a couple of days? So they s/b able to clear up a case with NO EVIDENCE as fast as they exonerated her WITH all that evidence.

Funny, when the Dems initially called for an FBI investigation they downplayed the time involved. I recall one of them saying “the Anita Hill/Clarence Thomas FBI investigation only took 3 days.” Now that things are not going their away they once again want to move the goalposts.

If it’s characterized as “abbreviated” by the FBI, without a explanation, the Dems are going to paint it as “unfinished”.
Dems already delayed so Ford wouldn’t have to be terrified flying to DC. But she reportedly has flown on planes to Hawaii several times and was in Delaware and not CA as reported.
Then more delays over who would speak first and who’s allowed in the room and where are the relevant documents needed and on and on.

Exactly! He has already had 6 of these things. A seventh is going to find something to keep him off the court? No way, this whole thing was a delaying tactic in hopes that they get control of the Senate and Trump will never get another nominee on any court, including the Supreme Court.
