Yale Classmate Accuses Kavanaugh of ‘Blatant Mischaracterization’ of His Drinking
New York Times ^ | 10/01/2018 | Michael D. Shear and Robin Pogrebin

WASHINGTON — A Yale classmate of Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh’s accused him on Sunday of a “blatant mischaracterization” of his drinking while in college, saying that he often saw Judge Kavanaugh “staggering from alcohol consumption.”

The classmate, Chad Ludington, who said he frequently socialized with Judge Kavanaugh as a student, said in a statement that the judge had been untruthful in testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee when he had denied any possibility that he had ever blacked out from drinking.

Mr. Ludington said that Judge Kavanaugh had played down “the degree and frequency” of his drinking, and that the judge had often become “belligerent and aggressive” while intoxicated.

“It is truth that is at stake, and I believe that the ability to speak the truth, even when it does not reflect well upon oneself, is a paramount quality we seek in our nation’s most powerful judges,” Mr. Ludington said, adding that he planned to “take my information to the F.B.I.”

Who in college was not staggering drunk at one time or another? No doubt our Democrat opposites were chaste and sober all of the time. What a joke.

On a serious note as to Kavanaugh, is there anyone who might be concerned that he might have a drinking problem? From what little I have heard it might be a possibility. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Well there are probably a lot of people who did not drink in High School but once away from home engage in a lot of activities that are new to them like drinking.

How do you know it’s ridiculous? You personally know his habits. I sure don’t? I only asked if it was a possibility.

Another example from real life, as to why I made The New York Times the antagonist in my political novel. They do not report the news. Where they think they can get away with it, they spread vicious gossip against those who dare to stand for principle. This has been going on for decades.

No shame! No objectivity! No relevance, even if not exaggerated. Judge Kavanaugh over the past three decades has demonstrated, absolutely, by his work product, that he does not have a drinking problem.

Let us show these media lepers, next month, when we vote, how much we "appreciate" their vile tactics:

So they are now gearing down to lesser smears and lies since their bombshells are complete duds. It is so predictable Alinsky.

Such behavior would have come up in an FBI background check. Heavy drinking or other signs that one has an addiction to drugs or alcohol would have send up big red flags for the position Kavanaugh was being considered for.

college kids party

From the lyrics of the Yale Whiffinpoof song [Wiffinpoofs are a Yale a cappella singing group

To the tables down at Mory's
To the place where Louie dwells
To the dear old Temple bar we love so well
Sing the Whiffenpoofs assembled with their glasses raised on high
And the magic of their singing casts it's spell

But it's really code for a confession of gang-rape as is clear from the further lyrics

Gentleman songsters off on a spree
Doomed from here to eternity
Lord have mercy on such as we

As if that's not enough to prove K guilty, this group only admitted women in 2018, demonstrating their abiding toxic masculinity.

It was ok for obama to smoke weed, crack and pole while he was in high school and college. But now the judge should be crucified for drinking in college. The democrats are beyond ridiculous. They are like a foul odor that won't go away.

RE: Kavanaugh already said he drank, plus there is no name of this “mutual friend.”

I’m not sure who you are referring to but the one accusing Kavanaugh of excessive drinking is his Yale Classmate: Chad Ludington.

I imagine a rather thorough medical history and physical exam are part of being considered for some of the positions Kavanaugh has held. You can be sure that laws and rules about medical confidentiality would be thrown out the window if some die hard liberal who had access to such records thought evidence of a serious drinking problem had shown up at some time.

You don’t go unscathed if you have been a heavy drinker for 30+ years. The toll it takes on the body is multiple and gets more and more obvious not just to doctors but to family and friends too. Also the habit of lying that is so much part of the drinking gets easier for others to spot. One sign is that stories keep changing. With the drinker insisting that each version is the true one. It is so ingrained that heavy drinkers will lie when there isn’t any reason to. Kavanaugh struck me as being very open and honest without any attempts to manipulate those taking his testimony at the hearing.

RE: he Chadster may have played basketball for Yale but he sucked at it......

And opposed to him, is an actual player who PLAYED IN THE NBA — Chris Dudley. He is a Yale graduate and still is a good friend of Kavanaugh. Dudley said:

1) He never saw Kavanaugh so drunk that he passed out or blacked out as a result of drinking.

2) He never, ever saw Kavanaugh act inappropriately towards any girls or women.
