After a careful review of all of the evidence put fourth by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford in her accusations of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh, sex crimes prosecutor Rachel Mitchell has released a report which completely exonerates the judge.

Actually mitchell handled this exactly right.....the assumption ‘by everyone’ was she was a ‘victim’ with her story to tell. But this, we would learn, was without any proof or evidence that would qualify her as a victim of anything apart from her ‘saying’ so.
However nobody knew if or not this was the case which is why they handled her with kid gloves.....which set the stage all by itself. Thus mitchell, having decades of experience with these cases had to soft approach......this was not a court case or it would have been far more forthright.
It worked....she cut her own throat and we all saw and heard it. I never believed and still don’t that she was attacked by anyone......though could have thought so in her mind at one time....I no longer believe even that.
It’s not supposed to exonerate anyone. It’s supposed to evaluate the testimony of Ford, and determine if there is enough credible evidence from her testimony that could be used to pursue charges. There wasn’t, because her answers weren’t consistent between what she told the reporter, what she wrote in her letter, what was in her therapist’s notes, and what she testified to. It basically shows that because Ford’s statements have change repeatedly, and because there is no corroborating witnesses, that her allegations don’t rise to a prosecutorial level.
I didn’t have any problem with her work since her job was not to discredit Dr. Ford or exonerate Judge Kavanaugh but rather to present the Republican committee member’s questions to Ford while simultaneously denying the Democrats a photo op of white males picking on an apparent “victim” or disturbed individual, as the case may be. I thought Mitchell did just fine under those parameters.
Outside counsel tells GOP senators ‘reasonable prosecutor’ wouldn’t bring Ford case against Kavanaugh

There’s all of that but quite interesting is her family wasn’t supporting her......basically saying she could stand on her own merit.
I figure Ford got out of this a handsome pay to play fund and new secret location.......and we’ll see now if she gets the media to showplace her ahead. ...another cha ching.

So I guess now hey will go he drunken perjury route.
We’ll soon be hearing why mitchell’s statements are not ‘conclusive’....
No doubt. To the enemy nothing will ever be conclusive. Best you can hope for is to give the fence-sitters enough cover to get them comfortable in doing the right thing.
A lot of people do not understand the ‘science’ of interrogation. One of my favorites to watch, which was riveting, was Colonel Russell Williams interrogation. Because of his high profile they did a lot of work prior to get it right. It was stunningly performed and executed.

Not sure she was there to exonerate as much as she was brought in to be an, expert witness. An expert witness that was allowed to solicit answers to questions and then render an opinion. No different than the court asking someone to have a psychological evaluation and then render an opinion during testimony. Simple as that.
Oh I don’t think they’re fence sitters at all. They’re ‘players’ and will likely continue to play their rolls.....Flake especially as he wants job security once he leaves office......Collins always holds out for the highest bidder and Kowski is like a kite in the wind.

I see what you’re saying, but the questioning was done on live tv, in a room full of partisan hacks, w/ a complicit media going apoplectic over the fact that that the Evil Republican’s brought in an Evil Republican to badger the victim, thereby bringing back all the horrible memories and causing unneeded stress. That would have played right into the hands of the Dem’s and the narrative they’re trying to push.
The lies were out there, already. She was able to get them, under oath and on live tv. Yes, she probably could have done a little better, but she got the job done.
Thank you bitt for making it so all can read.
Libs say she was called by the Republicans so it doesn’t matter. Of course, libs convicted him as soon as they heard the allegation.

Doesn’t really say they’re not fence-sitters...waiting to see how the wind blows or the money flows...before falling from the fence on one side or the other...
They knew he was guilty before anything had even been alleged, they just hadn’t been told what he was guilty of.
