Former FBI Director James Comey said Sunday that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's "obvious lies" about his high school yearbook hint at "bigger lies" that may be uncovered.
Comey wrote that FBI agents are up to the task of unearthing the truth of sexual assault allegations made by Christine Blasey Ford and others, and that he believes Kavanaugh's Thursday testimony could suggest trouble.

We need to start a new movement, instead of the dim #metoo we need to say “I have a yearbook too” and those that went to school with these crazies need to send them a message that they too have a yearbook.
I wish I could take credit for this but a woman who did grow up where Flake did posted on fb today that she had a yearbook and a story to tell... I thought WOW that is how to get their attention. We all say it could happen to anyone but obviously they don’t believe it can to them. It needs to happen to them.

“Boof” definitely meant flatulence in 1979, when I graduated from high school. A good friend of mine was known as “King Boof” for the obvious reasons. Google has changed the definition to slander Kavanaugh.

A lot of the people talking about what phrases meant to prep school boys in the 1980s really have no idea, and are just making things up to match their preconceptions.
Do you really know how people who actually had threesomes in the 1908s described them? I doubt it, and I doubt a teenage Brett Kavanaugh did either.
Back in 1908 things were more docile for the prep school set.

The only thing I recollect about my High School Yearbook is someone writing “Have a Bitchin Summer”.
If I’m ever in front of a Committee full of DemoncRats, they will probably ask me which poor Girl in Highschool I called a Bitch.
I’m not disagreeing... but I am just about the same age as Kavanaugh... attended catholic school in Montgomery county, participated in catholic league sports, and multi school theatre projects. My closest friend’s brother was a classmate of Bretts from Prep, and none of us think those terms had the meanings he gave them....and no I didn’t know both of the terms, but I was familiar with one of them.

Despite this, he thinks the public thinks he’s credible.

So why don’t you set out what you think they meant based on your knowledge from that time and area. It would be helpful information for everyone.
I graduated in 1976 and it meant that then too, even out in Podunk Holler where I lived. The left loves to change the names of things and then act like we are idiots when we don’t refer to things the same way they do.

I agree with you. Slang words among teenagers tend to change a lot over time and location.
My high school buddies and I would have a vocabulary that was full of changed meanings and made up words.
KD POP - Kick down Phil on the prowl. Meant Phil S. in his ‘70 Impala would use the kick down feature on the auto transmission to prompt street races. Could be interpreted as looking for someone to attack.
AWK vs ACK. One had a sexual meaning, one was a way to hail a friend when yelled in a crowd.
