If Kavanaugh is not confirmed, make Lindsey Graham the Attorney General, with Brett Kavanaugh his Deputy.
A research psychologist has a PhD and may legitimately use the title “Doctor.” They have the same education, but chose to follow a different route than clinical psychology.
I have two research psychologists on my team. They call themselves “psychologists” also.
I do not know the exact wording of the CA law, but I would bet that it has some stipulation that a psychologist cannot claim to be a board-certified clinician if he/she is not, in fact, licensed, but that they can call themselves “psychologists” if that is, in fact, the subject of their PhD.
My mother is licensed and sees clients, but cannot call herself a psychologist because she does not have a PhD.
This is a red herring; Dr. Ford has raised all kinds of questions about her credibility without quibbling about the fact that she is a researcher, not a clinician.
Usually, the law is very specific in its wording.

Graham was probably on our side longer than he let on.
I remember 3 or 4 months back, Trump arranged a meeting between Graham and Michael Savage on the subject of protecting African wildlife.
Savage actually had Graham on his show. Strange bed-fellows.
And do what in the end, slap their hands and send them a letter with a grumpy face.
This entire thing has had the primary goal of destroying a good and honorable man, as well as his entire family.

She can call herself “doctor” all day long til a rainbow farting unicorn appears, but
in the state of California, she CAN NOT legally use the professional title of “psychologist” without a license.
That’s why one of her staffers had an “oh sh*t” moment and scrubbed the professors faculty page removing the reference of her being a psychologist.
In all honesty I believe that she has unwittingly opened up another can of worms, and wasn’t expecting people to start digging into her background.
We found that she’s not a licensed psychologist.
We found that the timeline she gave for her marriage counseling in relation to the home renovation was off by several years.
We found she lied about flying.
And the list keeps getting longer by the day.

I do not see in this law any stipulation that someone who has a doctorate in psychology cannot call him/herself a psychologist, and it does say that a person may call him/herself a psychologist if he/she has the training and education. The law also states that only licensed psychologists may practice psychology, which it also defines.
As I think I’ve mentioned before, I have two research psychologists on my medical research team. Their job title is set by US law. They do not practice in a clinic; their work takes place in laboratories. And, like me, they use the title of “Doctor.” Education, not licensing, entitles people to use that title.
This is a complete red herring. Focus instead on the discrepancies, the suspect timing of the story, and the obvious lies, not on the legal definition of “psychologist” in CA law.

To me, communism was the scourge, and the Godless part was almost akin to a verbal twitch or perhaps a clear identifier. They’re not just communists! They’re Godless communists!
Thinking about it, though, the phrase “Godless Communist” has a deeper meaning than I first realized ... communism was not only an economic threat, it was also cultural threat ... Without a Creator those self-evident truths become mere wishful thinking. “Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” as meaningless and ephemeral as any garden-variety slogan.
