That is just my speculation. We will have to wait to see what comes out from the investigation. Of course, we may never see, and it might just be a trading chip between DC dealmakers.
Much has been made of her voice.
She has made many appearances in her job, according to her boosters. There has to be audio/videos of some of those appearances.
Those videos would confirm her real life voice and speech mannerisms.
I suspect the FBI will look into that as it will give them a lot of information.

The Senate Judiciary Committee referred apparent false statements made to committee investigators alleging misconduct by Judge Brett Kavanaugh for criminal investigation on Saturday.
Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) sent a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and FBI Director Chris Wray seeking to have “materially false statements” made to the Committee as part of its investigation of allegations against Kavanaugh referred for criminal investigation.

This is an excellent tactic that also produces a talking point for the week. It makes clear the partisan nature of the hit job

His name is Russell Lowe and he was her San Francisco Office Manager, not just a ‘driver’. What is admitted is that the FBI told her five or so years ago that Lowe was being recruited by Chinese intelligence services. Lowe then left her employ. No one will confirm actual espionage.
Contrast that story when it was alleged that Trump campaign workers were being recruited by Russian intelligence. No one told the campaign and FISA warrants were issued to spy on the whole campaign.
