At least one person died in a car explosion in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Saturday night, officials with the ATF confirmed with NBC10.
The vehicle exploded at North Hall and West Turner streets around 9:30 p.m.
Police initially confirmed at least two people were injured. Shortly after midnight, officials with the ATF stated at least one person was killed and that they believe the explosion was "intentional."
At least 50 ATF agents responded to the scene and are investigating the incident, which they say appears to be a "criminal matter

Just heard an eyewitness (earwitness?) a few minutes ago on Good Morning America say she heard three explosions. Maybe one of them is the gas tank like in the movies; I forget if that’s been declared movie BS or not.
And MD also has a Bethlehem and an Easton (a few miles apart on the Eastern Shore).

And remember before they went under the vehichle, ALL pickups had the tanks right behind the seat. The filler necks were right by the driver’s door handle. Then there was the Pinto where the gas tank top WAS the floor of the trunk. And no one wanted to say that the Mustangs were built exactly the same way. We had a ‘65 Mustang and when you picked up the trunk mat, there was the tank.
