They gave Democrats exactly what they wanted.
You have opponents whose first and only objective is delay. From the start of the confirmation proceedings on Judge Brett Kavanaughs nomination to the Supreme Court, those opponents, Senate Democrats, have thus pushed for delay. At every turn. Of course they never come out and say thats what theyre doing they never come out and say, Weve abused the confirmation process and dropped a bomb at the eleventh hour, an uncorroborated, 36-year-old allegation of sexual assault, because were trying to delay the vote until after the midterms. But delay is what they want.
It doesnt matter what sheeps clothing the wolf comes in; the wolf is always delay. When they say, Were protecting survivors, they mean, We want delay. When they posture that women must be believed, their aim is more delay. When they say, The FBI must investigate to remove any cloud over the nominee, the translation is: Give us a delay so we can come up with new reasons for delay.
Get it?
Dems say, potato, they mean delay; Dems say tomato, they mean delay; Tomato, delay, potato, delay; Lets call the whole thing off.
...
Observing that the GOP majority is giving Democrats exactly what they want does not adequately convey how incompetently Republicans have performed.

Does Ford have over $1 million in her GoFundMe money laundering account yet
Trump seemed calm...about just letting this all play out.
Democrats are LAW-LESS because Republicans are BALL-LESS!!
They will try to flip Michael Judge!
I noticed Trumps demeanor too. It was unexpected by me. Like he’s ok with it.
So...it is not ok for dems to delay after creating the 60 day delay in the first place.
So.... something else is up imo.
A red herring FBI investigation would also likely result in Trump somehow being accused obstruction of justice or attempting to influence the investigation.
Andrew McCarthy, one of maybe two people at National Review with a measurable testosterone level. I wish he would leave there.
It actually amounts to a 3 day delay. With all the sen rules the original vote was scheduled for Tues. Now the turtle is marshaling his 51 through the preliminaries so that it’s a final vote on Fri.
One way or another, I believe Fri is the last day. Still leaves time for the kamikrazy rats to do damage.
I trust Trump on this, I think he knows the score.
Trump is amazingly calm about all of this. Wonder what is going on behind the scenes. Maybe Trump is just letting the Democrats expose themselves for what they are.
From a political perspective, would the Republicans have been better off confirming Kavanaugh (A) two weeks ago, or (B) next week?
The answer is (B) -- and in a big way.
Putting Kavanaugh in front of that Judiciary Committee on Thursday was a brilliant political move.
I've been saying for two weeks now that the longer this drags on, the better it is for the Republicans.
The “Republicans” didn’t choose to delay. The “RINO” traitors forced the delay.
Another author that can’t count to 51.
The Republican strategy is to drape this fiasco around the necks of all these Democrats running in tight races.
I saw a report yesterday that California Democrats are shocked to see their House candidate polling 15 points behind Republican Duncan Hunter -- who was just indicted a few weeks ago.
The Rats are already dragging out more women as of Saturday morning. I feel for Kavanaugh because hes a good man being sacrificed strictly at the alter of politics. Cant see a pathway for him to ever assend to the Supreme Court now. But if he ever does, liberals are screwed for life.
At most, it is a two day delay.
Being filled with the Holy Spirit and praying would have helped...
Flake could have concerned of what spirit those 2 women were...just what sent them there...
But the delay may have been inevitable, given that not all Republicans are solid yes votes.
This additional investigation may placate Collins and Murkowski.
There are always things happening behind the scenes, and the best guess is that they didn’t have 51 firm yes votes from ALL Republicans.
He's already submitted sworn testimony to the Judiciary Committee under penalty of perjury. If he changes his story now, he could be facing 5 years in prison.
