GOP Consultant Ed Rollins on Jeff Flake: He Will Go Down As One of the Great Turncoats and Cowards in Senate History (VIDEO)
Earlier in the day on Friday Senator Jeff Flake announced he would vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh out of the Judiciary Committee.
Then he got cornered in an elevator by a screaming leftist for 4 minutes.
About an hour later and after several private talks with Democrats Jeff Flake came out and announced he would only vote for Brett Kavanaugh if an investigation continued on the man for another week.
This is exactly what Democrats were hoping for.
Longtime GOP consultant Ed Rollins commented on Flake’s cowardice.
“Lou Dobbs: They were intimidating Jeff Flake. They got him in a small room outside the hearing room and they were all piled in there.
Ed Rollins: He will go down as one of the great turncoats and cowards in the political history of the US Senate based on this thing. And I hope he does the right thing at the end of the day after having demanded this hearing.
Ed was being nice.
Wouldn’t it be ironic if Flake was hit with an accusation in the imeediate wake of his capitulation.
He stated that Kavanaugh will be no SCOTUS. We shall see.
Given the fact that Ford has provided the names of all those that “allegedly know about the incident” it should take the FBI about a day or two to conduct the interviews. Report should be done on day 3, as there is absolutely nothing to report. Approved and submitted on Day 4, highlighting the inconsistencies and lies from Ford and the fact that she either committed, Perjury, to the Senate committee or, Lied to Federal Investigators.
I’d bet my bottom dollar that she never expected anything like this would happen. And when under real questioning, without a roomful of fanatical supporters(Dem Senators), she won’t last long if she’s interviewed by someone that knows what they’re doing.
As for the Prosecutor that they brought in. Some say she didn’t do a good job. It wasn’t her job to get up there and draw out some type of confession. The entire world was watching. If she had done that, then it would ignite an entirely different narrative that the Republican’s sent out a hitman to ruin the “victim”. She did her job. Got Ford to admit to lying on certain things, which, in real life would have closed the case long before any of this Kabuki Theater.
As soon as the FBI report comes in, McConnell needs to put the vote on the floor immediately. Don’t give the communists the time to mobilize since we know how malleable those 3 are to political pressure.

At this point I oppose Republican members of Congress talking to democrat members beyond what is necessary. Certainly they should not be “friends” with each other or have one on one “chats”, the democrat will only try to convince the Republican to do wrong. It’s like being friends with a crack addict who wants you to try crack.
Flake was plotting to delay vote on Thursday night .
He called Sen Coons who let that secret out on a TV interview .
The elevator scam was a set up by Flake.
Flake needs to be removed from all committees .
Flake needs to be banned from all future K street work .
Flake needs his security clearance yanked .
Destroy him .
At least Flake is exiting. I have to deal with the 2 senators from New York state.
People shouldn’t be going to DC to make friends, anyhow. They’re there to do the country’s business, period. As Truman said, if you REALLY want a friend in DC, get a dog.

Every Republican on that committee should have excoriated him publicly until he withdrew his treasonous proposal. Graham should have repeated his words from just the day before about Republican who vote give in to this disgusting tactic of the Democrats. Someone should have pointed directly at the Democrats and said, “Thay will persist in this destructive madness”. If he did not withdraw, they should have called him out as a scoundrel. Are his feelings more important than Kavanaugh’s entire life?
Instead, they did nothing. They didn’t even demand that the FBI investigate the leak of the letter.
