Looking for my DD214 the other week, I found old orders to the USS Sea Devil and Sub Tender USS Frank Cable.
A bit befuddled, I raked through the old brain bucket but could not recall this event.

Without giving away to many details, they would normally drop us off at some weird anchorage and we used rather odd methods of travel.
A Ferry picks you up and an anchorage in the sea, you chop your way to the land, and some guy from the local Det picks you up in a mini cooper, and you blast down dirt roads to your luxury accommodations LOL

What % of Americans are Vets let alone war vets?
All mylife I hear all of America saying we need to honor them, and take care of them.
Here is the sad reality, There is no decent system in place.
We try to take care of the old guys and gals, but we have no money.
We lost 4 vets this past month in my post, and the other night some woman with no military affiliation calls the post and says “I’m short on rent this month, can you help me out?”
It happens all the time.
