Looking for my DD214 the other week, I found old orders to the USS Sea Devil and Sub Tender USS Frank Cable.
A bit befuddled, I raked through the old brain bucket but could not recall this event.

The OOD did not like my attitude and wanted to know who my commanding officer was, I said “I am on independent ops here are my orders”
