Censure - Less severe than expulsion, a censure (sometimes referred to as condemnation or denouncement) does not remove a senator from office. It is a formal statement of disapproval, however, that can have a powerful psychological effect on a member and his/her relationships in the Senate.
Given the above, I think it would be appropriate for all FReepers to contact their Senators, in addition to the Majority Leader, and request a direct response and explanation as to "why Senator Feinstein (D-CA) should not be censured for actions interfering and/or obstruction with the due process of the Senate Judiciary Committee regarding the initial and on-going contact with Dr. Ford."
The more contacts we make, the more the possibility of censure comes to be - how many thousands of FReepers are we?!?
Grassley will get right on that.
That would be elder abuse wouldn’t it?
She would laugh and wear it as a badge of honor...........
She will claim “In all honesty I thought ....”
This is who the FBI needs to investigate!
Perfect quote after your moniker rktman.
Won’t happen. Today, even Lindsey Graham after his statement yesterday, said he knew Feinstein was not the one who leaked Ford’s letter and that she wouldn’t do such a thing.
It was a great plan to squat on Fords letter and fracture a Justices family dynamic, to unsettle the court, and stick a Chinese a thumb in Trumps eye.
The FBI needs to investigate DiFiChiSpy's activities surrounding obstruction of justice in not reporting two crimes as claimed by Dr. Ford - possible manslaughter and sexual assault.
DiFiChiSpy destroyed two families for no other reason than moving forward a political agenda - not in the effort of seeking justice or "protecting" Dr. Ford.
ha!
Democrats are above the law, just look at the Clintons and Obama and their ilk. The funny thing is we run around still thinking there is rule of law, there is not, the law is there to punish, convict conservatives and or Christians.
But sitting on the information for weeks IS obstruction of the due process.
Said the same thing to my wife last evening. Censure her. Told her I ‘d prefer expulsion. What they censured McCarthy for is tame compared to today. But we live in a time where politics trumps anything else. Too bad.
She’s going to be expelled by the Mexicans who want one of their own as Senator from Mexifornia.
Very little chance the senate would attempt to censure Feinstein, and if they did, she’d just say she was keeping the letter confidential as she promised and that someone else leaked it.
Of course. Something like this doesn’t happen without plausible deniability.
Should the FBI investigate Feinstein, it would take several years and the outcome would ONLY be recommendations, no action would be taken against her. She has the FBI in her pockets.
I believe a censure would be a starting point, none-the-less. Bitch slap that hag and start the process as a warning to ALL/ANY others who might do as she did. No Excuse for her not paying a price for her starting that circus.
Maybe Father Time will censure her. She’s what, pushing 90?
If Ford can’t remember what she gave the WaPo reporter, and the wapo reporter ain’t talkin’ about what Ford gave her, that’s where I’d look. She did contact WaPo first after all and we don’t know how many follow-ups there were between the two.
