Is this the Onion? Using a Court to stop the Senate from holding a vote because NOT doing so would violate “Separation of Powers”?

Wow.

I think this was posted earlier. It is ridiculous as the courts have no role in how congress operates. Just an attempt for attention.

RIIIIIGHT, because the Judiciary interfering in the Senate’s rules is NOTHING like overstepping Separation of Powers.

The Senate would be well-advised to simply ignore such a judge’s ruling.

Merkley is truly a sorry excuse for a US Senator, nuttier than squirrel dung.

LOL of course..and this 3rd accuser is even MORE moronic than the first two..they used Kavanaugh’s calendar saying BEACH WEEK to set this up..how convenient that this all supposedly occurred during BEACH WEEK..Kavanaugh should have not released the calendar til the day of the hearing, the element of surprise

So now the courts are taking over the oversight and regulation of the day-to-day workings of Congress? The Democrats lost the Congress and the Presidency so they think they can take over everything with the courts?

The Senate could impeach that judge in about 5 minutes.

The Senator “lacks standing”. Only the Senate and only coming from the relevant Senate committee could such a charge be brought to a court. Even then the courts would hesitate to get between what would essentially be a political issue, not a constitutional issue, between the executive and legislature. The Senator bringing the lawsuit is too ignorant of the law and the Constitution to be serving as a Senator.

Can’t we have Constitutional law exams as a qualification for being a Senator?
