He had been appointed to that seat on July 25, 2003 -- nearly THREE YEARS earlier.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest two things:
1. This man was selected to be a future U.S. Supreme Court justice 15 years ago, not three months ago.
2. He'll douse himself with gasoline and walk through hell before he withdraws his nomination.

Feel free to flame away.
He won’t have to withdraw, your favorite people like Grassley and the Republican on the judiciary committee will delay delay delay.
Trump is a fighter though, and Kavanaugh is innocent imo.
I believe him when he said he was abstinent until marriage.
No way he’s attending gang rapes.
It’s utterly disgusting.
Kavanaugh was profiled in the press repeatedly in 2012 as a potential Justice nominee for Mitt Romney.
You didn’t read the headline and the first sentence of my post, did you?
Democrats need to be called out more, on sitting on explosive allegations and orchestrating the release of this bull#&$.
It’s all too convenient. Explosive allegations which can never be proved or disproved are being used to derail a Supreme Court nomination. This cannot stand otherwise we are in banana republic territory.
Flame away? Nope.
You’re spot on. And I really hope you’re right about your second point. Especially since a lot of this might not be aimed at Trump or Kavanaugh, but at Mrs. Kavanaugh, in the hope of getting her to bail.
If so, why in Hades aren’t women sticking up for her? So much for freaking feminism.
Kavanugh is eminently qualified, President Trump make a great choice. Democrats are making complete fools of themselves. That that is predictable. What is bothering me more is the limp wristed Republicans in the Senate that have scurried to their safe spaces. We hear absolutely nothing from Cruz, Lee, and almost all of them. Dead silence. Grassley is virtually on his own, McConnell is talk a bit, same from Hatch. But where are the rest. Is their hatred of President Trump that deep? Do they expect an upside to Kavanaugh being ran out of town? Do they, Cruz for example, expect and deserve reelection when they are silent today? Saying they are Republican and must be re-elected is hollow and embarrassing when we see them in action, rather see their inaction.
You don't think someone waits around for three years over a confirmation to a U.S. Court of Appeals just for the hell of it, do you?
I wouldn't wait three years for anything short of a $200 million PowerBall jackpot.
Grassley is taking instructions from McConnell who is trying to keep Collins and Murkowski for the floor vote.
I don’t dispute that, my post was to provide support that this was not something decided just 3 months ago.
When Christine Blasey Ford came forward to the Rat party ready to sacrifice how life for the party.
In a war for the soul of this country, look not to the U.S. Senate for anything more than procedure and protocol. When the sh!t hits the fan, I follow men who stand up for principles and don't back down.
Right. It wasn’t decided in 2012, either.
I would say this man set the supreme court as a goal from youth. He was very organized, calendars, etc.
we are in banana republic territory.

We’ve been there since Usurpation Day, January 20, 2009 when all of our elected and appointed stood around and watched a man who told US he was born a British subject because of his foreign national father be sworn in as President in violation of the Constitution.
Having no moral compass, liberals could never understand abstinence from sex until marriage. That is why 12 and 13 year olds are given birth control or abortions...parents faulty morals.
I believe Kavanaugh. He will be an asset to the SC.
bkmk
We had the track for early promotion bullet in OERs in the Air Force, dont see why it wouldnt occur elsewhere.
