The "fancy DC restaurant" remains unnamed in every story I've seen so far. Name and shame the place. Who's protecting them ? (rhetorical question) The media won't name the restaurant, thus encouraging more of this behaviour. I want to know.
Once known, we must shout it far and wide.
Most likely someone on the Restraunt’s staff.
That’s how it happened to Sarah.
Suure it is. I have been watching these creeps for longer than you have been alive, I would think.
Thank you, trish!! That answers that!
I am sure Cruz’s team are on this. I’ve also left a message with Corny Cornball Cornyn as to where are the Capitol Police protecting REPUBLICAN members of Congress and Trump admin.
Cornyn is in leadership, so maybe he’ll actually pick up the phone and make a few calls.
Who knows?
Washington DC is a strange place in regards to police departments and areas of jurisdiction.
Overall the Metropolitan PD is like any other city PD.
But then there are the Federal PD units.
Sercret Service- uniformed div. & executive protection units
US Capitol Police
US Parks Service Police
Federal Building security, can’t recall the name
Military Police Washington Military District
Plus a few established under Homeland Security that i’m not aware of.
Every now and again there’s fur ball event as with the Vince Foster death.
Recall the postal worker and his auto-gyro landing near the Capitol building, Capitol Police were lead unit on that IIRC.
But the charter places protection of Congressional personnel squarely on their shoulders. IIRC there have been instances of them guarding the Congress nembers’ homes in the face of direct clear threats.
Same kind of thing - This guy is ADMITTING that he and others are being paid to harass DJT on Twitter. And - it is true - most of the replies are disgusting.

There was no shortage of demonstrators against the War in Iraq, Soros did not have to spend a dime.
This has nothing to do with the “Church.”
Soros is not to blame for every evil. He certainly is culpable for enough.
See post #80
trisham posted the jurisdiction of Capitol Police.
They SHOULD be on this type of carp.
Who is blaming the restaurant? Not me.
How did they even know what table Cruz was at? Who told them?
Nice work.
My pleasure, Jane. I hope Cruz’s team is on this too. It’s only a matter of time that one of these confrontations is going to get really ugly. I’m suspect that his concern for his wife may have been the reason that he chose to take her away from these thugs.
They're not a Chinese restaurant. An Italian restaurant shouldn't be using any type of carp ... [cheeky grin]
Should be: I suspect that his concern...
They should just all eat at Trumps restaurant at his hotel
“Most likely someone on the Restraunts staff. Thats how it happened to Sarah.”
Not a valid compaison. Sarah Sanders was asked to leave by the management (far outside of DC), because they disagreed with Trump’s politics.
The better comparison is Kirstjen Nielsen being hounded out of a DC restaurant by a flash mob, quickly organized by one of the same organizations (Democratic Socialists of America), who quickly organized this flash mob to hound Senator Cruz out of a DC restaurant.
In Kirstjen Nielsen’s case, a member of the DSA DC Chapter who was eating at the restaurant saw her, and alerted the others who lived or worked nearby to quickly converge. No one working in the restaurant was responsible.
There is no indication that any staff of the restaurant were involved with the protesters. On the contrary, they can be seen on the video trying to tell the protesters to get out, and trying to protect the Senator and his wife.
“Who is blaming the restaurant? Not me. How did they even know what table Cruz was at? Who told them?”
You implied that the restaurant was complicit, because a maitre de did not stop the protesters (as if they willfully stood down - which they did not, as evidenced in the video). Then you implied they were complicit again, as if table information would be something only the restaurant staff would know.
The last time the same network of downtown DC Leftists formed a similar flash mob to hound Kirstjen Nielsen from a downtown DC restaurant, it was a member of their organization who happened to be eating there, who alerted them. The restaurant employees had nothing to do with it.
I’m sorry, but you can’t tell me in Washington DC, of all places, restaurant management isn’t aware of these things and don’t have better processes in place to avoid them.
They deserve to go out of business. Plenty of other places where crap like this wouldn’t happen.
Apparently Conservatives have lost restaurant dining privileges in Washington DC.
Can you imagine if conservatives pulled this with Pelosi and Feinstein? They’d be hauled off by police with 10 minutes.
Thanks for the link to trisham...that’s the way that I read it, but the reality? Ask JFK.... Wait
“Im sorry, but you cant tell me in Washington DC, of all places, restaurant management isnt aware of these things and dont have better processes in place to avoid them.”
This is the second such incident this year (after Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen), and I don’t recall any prior. So yes, I am telling you that restaurant managers don’t have better processes in place to avoid them. What would you do?
The Leftists gather a flash mob over social media, rally nearby, and don’t go in until they have enough people to overwhelm the girl posted at the door to seat people.
Without any prior warning, 15 or 20 people stream through the door, disregard any verbal requests or commands, spread out and start chanting. If you watch some videos of them in action, they are trained in several techniques to confuse, distract, delay. Six or eight start making videos with their cellphones to deter any physical response, while one or two will verbally engage with any restaurant staff with all kinds of practiced ploys to distract and delay them.
The whole thing is over in three or four minutes, before police could respond.
Well if restaurants that allow these things start going out of business, trust me, they’ll find a way.
