Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on Monday defended himself against the sexual assault allegations roiling his nomination by saying he was a virgin through high school and college.
"We’re talking about an allegation of sexual assault," Kavanaugh said in a clip released from his interview on Fox News Channel's "The Story with Martha MacCallum."
"I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone," Kavanaugh said. "I did not have sexual intercourse or anything close to sexual intercourse in high school or for many years thereafter ... The girls from the schools I went to, and I, were friends."
"Through all these years that were in question, you were a virgin?" Fox News host Martha MacCallum asked.
"That’s correct," Kavanaugh replied, adding that he did not have sex until "many years after" college.
Neither of the two accusations regarding Kavanaugh involve sexual intercourse. Christine Blasey Ford is alleging Kavanaugh held her down and groped her over her clothes during a high school party in 1982, and Deborah Ramirez claims he exposed himself without her consent during a gathering at Yale University a few years later.
Fox News released clips from the interview throughout the evening on Monday.
At another point in the interview, Kavanaugh vowed he is "not going anywhere" despite the allegations.
"I’m not going to let false accusations drive us out of this process," he said, sitting beside his wife as she nodded.
Kavanaugh during the interview denied attending the party in Ford's account.
"[I am] not questioning and have not questioned that perhaps Dr. Ford at some point in her life was sexually assaulted by someone at some place but what I know is I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone," he said.
Ford has stated that she is sure Kavanaugh was the man who allegedly assaulted her in an episode that she says has caused her decades of emotional trauma.
The full interview is scheduled to air at 7 p.m. EST.

Although I had a few close calls, I was virgin until I was 19. Then life got complicated, regretful and full of youthful misjudgment and many mistakes.

Most guys lie and say they got laid in HS while most girls lie and say they were virgins through HS. It’s the law of supply and demand.

Do you think this interview is horrible because it is straight to the point no touchy feely crap!!! This is a straight forward honest guy he is lacking personality BUT he has been a book worm his entire life with goals that very few ever attain!!! SC Justice is one HELL of a goal to attain and Very few of them have outgoing personalities w8th the exception of Scalia who was from Avery outgoing Italian family!!!
It might be interesting, however, if there were any medical records to prove this, which would destroy the accusers.

He is amazing. You can tell he is a great guy. Someone who is guilty would have just withdrawn and said screw it.
