Collins: I don’t believe Kavanaugh will repeal Roe v. Wade
The Hill ^ | September 24, 2018

Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) says she doesn’t believe Brett Kavanaugh will overturn a landmark abortion ruling if he’s confirmed to the Supreme Court.

"Well first of all I do not believe he's going to repeal Roe v. Wade," Collins told Showtime’s "The Circus," when asked about how she could potentially be "the vote" that puts Kavanaugh on the court and leads to the landmark 1973 case being repealed.

Frankly, assuming he's confirmed, that's not his job.

It's actually your job, and mine.

See post number 5.

Why are Democrats so afraid of the democratic process. It’s even in their name. Even if Roe vs. Wade is overturned it would end up back in the state legislatures where such matters belong. But I think we all know the answer to that.

“Preborn” is a better and more accurate term than “unborn”.

She’s a Yes Vote, and she will give cover to the other vaccilators. I think we got this.

Yes, I agree. I think McConnell is making sure he has the votes.

I hope my family does not see this but I am 79 years old and as a child I was molested and I can tell you where and by who and it does not take a doctor or psychiatrist to refresh my memory. The first women who came out is a damn lie. This has been 69 years ago and the second one was a little less. On Judgement day I can pick them out.

Very good sign. Not for Constitutional Law but for confirmation.

Agreed. “Repeal”, no. “Reverse” or “overturn”, yes.

This is important and good. Obviously Collins is not one of us but had she said the opposite it would be over. The left crazies did us a big favor by inflicting their insane antics at Collins including sending her a giant penis. Nothing makes your case like sending an Old Lady a giant replica of a Johnson.

“I don’t believe Kavanaugh will repeal Roe v. Wade”

Seems it might require more than just Judge Kavanaugh to perform such a remarkable feat.

"Well first of all I do not believe he's going to repeal Roe v. Wade,"

"He" can't repeal it at all! The liberals have scared their dumbed-down voters for YEARS with the idea that, somehow magically, a Supreme Court nominee is just going to wave a wand and BOOM! No more legal abortion!

Of course, the media COULD inform these idiots that it would take a LOT more than one justice's whim to repeal Roe v. Wade. But the media also loves keeping the dumbed-down voters in the dark.

All of this nonsense about Kavanaugh repealing Roe Vs Wade was just that, utter nonsense the left came up with so they could freak out and gin up their base. This is all about Kavanaugh slanting the Supreme Court to the right..that is something they were not concerned about with Gorsuch since he was a trade(From Scalia to Gorsuch) but now they are terrified that with Kavanaugh, and probably Ginsberg up next, the Supreme Court will be to the right and the Commies want the Supreme Court to be commie

I wasn’t aware that ONE SCOTUS Justice could repeal anything.

I must have been sick the day they taught that in my Government Class in High School.

This is a great sign hearing this comment from RINO Susie, although I would hope any republican-appointed justice would eventually help to reverse Roe, or any other unconstitutional and poorly written decision.

Roe v. Wade is not a law, and as such it cannot be repealed.

It can be overturned, but it would be much better to overturn Griswold v. Connecticut, which was another, worse power grab by an out-of-control court, and which led directly to Roe v. Wade.
