UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - Some 129 countries at the United Nations signed on to a U.S.-drafted pledge to fight the global drug problem on Monday that U.S. President Donald Trump warned presented a public health and national security threat.
In order to attend the brief U.N. event with Trump, countries had to sign the one-page call to action on the world drug problem. Trump held a similar event at the annual gathering of world leaders in New York last year, focused on U.N. reform....

While the Left flounders..................
...and we were told that all governments around the world thought he was a fool, a crazy person, and would never work with him.
Damn the Left is sure creative in it’s lies and subterfuge.’
And yet here we are acting as if the accusers of Kavanaugh are telling the truth, the first Democrat truth in decades.
Ha!
I guess that’s what happens with a real leader.
The mediots will likeyly try to spin it that the countries only signed because of the “optics” of not signing making it look they opposed a fight against drugs, blah blah blah.
Heh,heh. Even Iran has been torn up about the drugs flowing in to that country.
It probably really means that 129 countries signed up for money from the United States.
I have always been perplexed why our airpower didn’t destroy the poppy fields in Afghanistan. Can someone please enlighten me? It seemed like an obvious solution to me.
Stopping drugs will dry up the CIA’s coffers.
Because people were getting rich off the drugs. That has to have been known for years.
My understanding is that poppies are very resilient. Seem like you could spray them with something like a weed killer but it wouldn’t be a one time fix. You’d have to stay on it continuously.
One thing that would be necessary to start, is to map where all the fields are. I think some of the new imagery technology out there can identify plant types to some degree so global aerial mapping of poppy fields, by satellite or aircraft, would be a start. (I am pretty sure that our DEA already does this here in the USA to locate marijuana crops)
Well, I guess that’s a start. Now if only those 129 countries could sign a pledge to combat the global booze and opioid epidemic.
Probably not the DEA, not much interest in weed unless there are tons of it. The USFS in San Bernardino and Angeles forests have had the program for @ least 18 years. USFS has all the GIS data already available in every forest to repeat the process. Went from 20 plants seized to near 200k in one season.
So where are the spooks going to get their cash to overthrow Countries and meddle in internal politics?
