Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s attorneys have reached a tentative agreement during a conference call with bi-partisan committee staffers for her to testify on Thursday before the Senate Judiciary Committeewho regarding her uncorroborated accusations that Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her decades ago at a drunken high school pool party. Kavanaugh adamantly denies Blasey Ford’s accusations and has had dozens of women who have known him for decades come to his defense as character witnesses.

The DATE of the testimony was the least important item under consideration. Who the hell cares when that happens?
The format of the testimony is the most critical, and you can be damn sure Grassley is sticking to his guns on that several of those terms: Ford goes first, and the witness has no right to call other witnesses (just typing that last line made me realize how absurd that demand is).
They will drop another bomb. this time a big one and the nomination will go down the toilet. Grassley is an idiot.
But Christine Buzzy Ford is basically saying that with every hour that passes without her testimony after she initially "demanded to be heard."
Sorry. The combined audiences of Ellen and The View will be in the galleries and over the podium lighted “Boo” and “Applause” signs will be allowed by Grassley. Remember the first two days of screaming modern day Thoreau demonstrators who interrupted everything all day? They’re baaaaacccck.

Not enough time to go through the parliamentary procedures to get to to vote to the senate floor (takes a week if on rush)...… this means the new Supreme Court justice will not be on the court for the opening in October.

Which makes me wonder if some or most of those demands aren’t red herrings.
He shouldn't, but Grassley will do anything to comply with her wishes. I'll bet that she won't even have to be under oath, while Kavanaugh will be.

How do you know? Grassley has been caving to Ford for a week now. So, he’ll suddenly grow a pair next week? Grassley is an embarrassment.
Any competent lawyer would advise Ford NOT to testify here. She has way too much legal exposure if she does, and there's really no upside for her. That's why she hasn't even submitted a formal written statement to the committee 24+ hours in advance -- which would be the first step in actually testifying. The committee needs this so they have a formal record of what she intends to testify ABOUT.
In the back of their minds, I'm sure her lawyers are laying the groundwork for a "graceful exit" for their client.
