Washington (CNN)Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley agreed late Friday night to allow the woman who has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault more time to decide whether to testify before Congress.
Apparently (per the article) the new deadline is 2:30 PM Saturday. God only knows if Grassley and the committee actually mean it this time.

Didn’t say you were.....?
I totally agree. This is a trap, bait and switch. Grassley should remove Feinstein for causing a circus. Where’s the letter? She will not hand that over. If Grassley removes her- bet Collins, Murtowski and Flake will note vote for the Judge. We are boxed in nightmare situation.
I also want to know why no female Repubs are on the committee? Heard on news last night the optics of old white men beating down a female victim. If we had a woman, they wouldn’t be able to claim that.
I’m not surprised at all by Dems- and not surprised by the circus and the control that the Repubs have allowed. Typical.
Dems always control the optics and the messaging. Repubs always cave.
She can take all the time she wants. This doesn’t change the fact that if there is testimony, it will be heard before Thursday. If she wants to wait till Tuesday night to say she will appear, then it will still be Thursday.
If the Thursday date moves out, Kavanaugh is done. That’s all we really need to care about right now.
I don't think she will testify at all. If her lawyers believed she had anything, she would have already agreed.
This has more to do with keeping Collins, Flake and Murkowski happy than it does with accommodating Ford
Or, he is calling her (the left’s) bluff...?
Will Ford wait until the last minute to request more time to decide whether to testify; or will she agree to testify, setting impossible terms and conditions?
If it's true taht a buddy of his looked up her profile on Linkedin after he was nominated and before she sent the letter, and if it can be proven (the internet is forever), then it's over.
2:30 is about when the Iowa State game ends.
Coincidence? I think not.
Yup! Just like it was over yesterday at 1000 hrs and then again at 2200 hrs. Yup, all over. Took lessons from obxxx and friends.
He has the vote scheduled for Monday. So, giving them until 2:30 today doesn’t change anything. If they agree to a date, fine, but if not, the vote is Monday. I hope he holds it.
Nor would I, but he most likely won't because he knows it IS, for the Constitution's sake.
She will testify because it prolongs the circus at least another week. That’s another week burying good economic news, etc.
The Dems are saying that they will impeach him even if he is confirmed.
Yet the GOP is doing nothing...
From his own mouth he said Schumer and DEMS are in control.
Collins was more upset with Trumps statement then Feinstein’s with holding information until last minute.
Speaks volumes.
Dems keep winning.
With each day delay.
With each hour delay.
A delay is a delay and they will take it. And they will keep pushing for delays until it is too late to confirm Kavanaugh.
And the Dems will win again — another Republican nominee Pubbies could not get confirmed.
Sorry to hear that. Pretty much all of us boys pushed further than we should because of the raging hormones and extreme curiosity and peer pressure but 99.9% of us stopped when the girl got stern enough and that was that. It takes a real bastard to do what that guy did to you or to do what Ford says Kavanaugh did and according to 65 or more women, he’s just not like that.
I really don’t blame Grassley. This has all to do with Flake wanting to give a final FU to President Trump, and the always weak sisters Collins and Murkowski. The GOP can only lose one member on the vote, so Grassley has to walk a fine line to ensure none of these 3 Senators get their panties in a twist.
