As Washington continues to play a game of wait and see on whether Christine Blasey Ford, the woman accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, will testify in Washington next week, an old-but-new-again incident involving a prominent Democratic senator -- and potential 2020 challenger to Trump -- has reemerged.
New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker wrote in the early 1990s -- while a student at Stanford -- about an incident on New Year's Eve 1984 (when he was 15) in which he groped a female friend's breast after the two of them had kissed.
"With the 'Top Gun' slogan ringing in my head, I slowly reached for her breast," Booker wrote of that night. "After having my hand pushed away once, I reached my 'mark.'" The point of Booker's column was how that moment, and his work on the issue after, had changed him -- and his views on women, consent and assault -- forever. "It was a wake-up call," Booker wrote in his Stanford column. "I will never be the same."

Let’s set aside that most of ya think the accusations against Kavanaugh are false, whether misidentified or pure lies.
Now - the booker thing... are we now at a place where a young man, kissing a girl, is not allowed to try to get to second base? Seriously? Yeah, it’s groping. That doesn’t make it inappropriate.
Am I supposed to teach my son to get a cell phone video of consent before each step in the process? Good gosh

Poor Juanita. I don’t know how she can stand to see any of this crap. She only wishes it had been a teenaged boy on her for a few minutes and not the attorney general or whatever he was actually ripping her clothes, biting her painfully, and raping her twice. This is a textbook example illustrating the difference between rationalization and explanation. They decide, before the fact, that Booker gets a pass, and then try to come up with a reason that they deem plausible. “That’s the ticket!”
I heard this story and said to myself, What the heck does this have to do with Kavanaugh? They are completely different situations. For starters, one actually happened.
The difference is he has a “D” by his name... if he had raped her the damn studges in the press would not have covered it... Ask Paula or Juanita...

You are correct, they are NOT the same. Booker (B) wrote about it bc he did it. Kavanaugh didn’t bc he says it didn’t happen. If it didn’t happen, how would he know to deny it?
B and K work in two different worlds. B’s constituents are liberal and evidently don’t care about his gropes bc he’s one of their’s. And you know that.
Has a woman stepped forward and confirmed that Booker touched her breasts? Until that happens, I remain skeptical.

The difference here being that he’s telling the story from the other side and no one is accusing Booker.
I wrote an piece on Booker and stipulated that this is a matter of character, destroying him as a possible contender for 2020 POTUS nomination.
