During a town hall event on Wednesday night, Rep. Beto ORourke (D-TX) running against Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for the Senate seat told a black American who questioned his support of illegal immigration that illegal aliens from Central America and Mexico are todays cotton pickers. ORourkes remarks were made after a black American asked the congressman if he supported illegal aliens being given U.S. citizenship despite breaking the countrys immigration laws. ORourke responded by saying that it is illegal aliens who are working at cotton gins today.

Wheres the media outrage, on this???
Fox suspended Bob Fosse just for saying cotton pickin and DeSantis gets slammed for saying monkey up the state, in Fl Giv race.
Media had field day, on the above.
This guy gets to claim blacks and (actual) Hispanics are only good for cotton pickers/aka slaves??
Come on, GOP. Dont let this one off the hook. They (leftists) wouldnt.
Spread the word! Preach it! :)
A coworker of mine is a 75 year old southen gentleman. Hes a delight to talk too. He says hes picked both cotton as well as tobacco. Neither sounded like much fun. He said hed much rather work tobacco fields than cotton
Right on! “Crash-n-Run” O’Rourke cannot be allowed to get a pass on this.
To be sure, CNNABCCBSMSNBC will report on this. Not.
Yeah, I draw the line at wood alcohol and mineral spirits. Cotton gin? No thanks!
Stunningly stupid statement.
Whoops...
Gonna have to put that on the RV’ing list.
Beeto obviously doesn’t know the difference between a cotton gin and a cotton picker.
And why did he instantly think of cotton farming anyway? Was it because the question was asked by a black man? Really? Does Beeto think that hispanic illegals replaced blacks in the cotton fields only recently?
Does he think he’s assuaged black people’s concerns about illegal immigrant labor with that remark? And what about the hispanics in the audience? Wonder how they reacted?
What does all this say about Beeto’s view of the world?
Hey, wait just one Cotton Pickin’ minute.
Nobody has taken Beto’s comments to the ultimate conclusion, so I will help. He is basically saying that, yes, illegals have replaced blacks as slaves in the South. And he is fine with that because working as a slave in the U.S. is better than living in Cental America. Now, let’s take it the next step...bringing people (blacks) from Africa to work as slaves in the US was a great thing because being a slave in the US is better than living in Africa. In one comment, Beto absolved the US of any wrong doing in regards to slavery. And the liberal media says nothing. If Ted Cruz doesn’t jump all over this, he is an idiot. For that matter, Trump and the GOP machine should jump all over this.
About 10% of the texas labor force is illegal and because they count the children of illegals, Texas schools get big, big bucks from the Education Dept
Do tell, Ben.
Do TELL.
Let your lefty bleeding heart flow.
It appears to me that he was being insulting to both groups [all people when you think about it] and looks stupid in the process. Which is good for Ted!
Are we going to get to enjoy your presence [and Jen’s] next month? I sure hope so!
Yes, we’ll be there with a couple of our spawn ;-)
Woohoo! The more the merrier!
That’s the way it is in Texas, and if you don’t like it, who cares
I care.
Cruz cares.
Trump cares.
A helluva lot of other Texans care.
Why dont you care, Ben?
Take it up with the governor, or your county sheriff, or if you want to take your gun out to the west Texas cotton field and kill Mexicans, or in west Dallas there are a lot of illegals

Spoken like a true deflecting liberal troll.
Thanks for showing yourself again, Ben.
