No idea what this means. Presumably she wants the GOP to agree not to question Christine Blasey Ford about her personal background, e.g., sexual habits, drinking habits, and so forth, such that the hearing ends up with Ford being dragged through the mud.
I’m in the minority among the commentariat, though, in believing that it’s unlikely they’ll do that anyway. The optics of the hearing are already so terrible for Republicans, and the damage among women voters already so potentially grave, that they’ll be respectful of Ford out of self-interest if nothing else. Barring an unlikely meltdown of credibility at the hearing by Ford, it’s already a no-win situation for Republicans. Why make it worse by putting her through the wringer?

How would it be? If it’s another allegation with no proof like this one I think the nomination is still in fine shape. The thing that did in Moore was not denying it (and the fact that his wife was 15 years younger than him). The thing that did in Franken was photographic evidence and multiple women. There are about 64 more women BACKING UP Kavanaugh and his character than there are accusing him of anything and the fact that the one accuser seems to be running scared shows you what brittle glass her accusation stands on.
Who on the committee has followed the rules so far? They paid people to disrupt and protest. Are there going to be more protests during the questions?

I love how all these so called writers can speak for all of us or at least they presume they do. None of this has damaged me or my thinking in any way. Nothing can make me believe it is anything except just plain STUPID!
Many women today don’t want to be ‘equal’. They want to be totally unaccountable.
Committee vote first....
They need to be respectful, but they also need to be able to call her out if doing so is in the service of determining whether Kavanaugh should or should not sit on the bench. If she came forward with the intention of serving the public good she should be willing to go through with what is required for that goal. As it stands, Blasey Ford is setting the cause of women being taken seriously way the heck back since she has taken the fruit of so many gains and is squandering it. Who will listen to the next woman? The next woman who is likely in a good deal of jeopardy of the sort that Blasey Ford seems unacquainted with?!
There have been several internet posts that suggest she was a serious “slut” during high school.......
