The Department of Justice (DOJ) said Monday that the FBI will not investigate the sexual misconduct allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. After refusing to participate in a phone call with Kavanaugh set up by Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA), led by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Democrats on the Judiciary Committee called on the FBI to investigate high school-era allegations against Kavanaugh.
“In view of the enormity and seriousness of these allegations, a staff-only phone call behind closed doors is unacceptable and Democratic staff will not participate,” Feinstein said in a statement on Monday.
She added that the FBI “has the resources and know-how to conduct an objective, independent evaluation of these sensitive allegations with appropriately trained investigators.”
Senate Minority Leader Schumer (D-NY) is also calling for an FBI investigation.
On Tuesday, Feinstein again called on the FBI to investigate the allegation of a local crime 36 years ago when Kavanaugh was 17 and still in high school:

I hope that rumor is true because that would suggest the declassification of FISA documents and other documents are going to be blockbusters.
Trump would blast that offer all over the internet so I’m thinking the rumor is fake.

Ford was the aggressor. Kavanaugh luckily wasn’t one of her victims.

Have you seen that his high school year book is out and he refers to himself as the treasurer of the keg club. And he mentions the Devil’s Triangle which according to this dufus that’s reporting it’s a girl and two men having sex. So they are declaring him guilty, guilty .

Check the property records to see where teens in those houses went to school, check old year books, track down the 4 boys accused, and hang ‘em high for underage drinking and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Sure - good use of our intrepid Federal Bureau of Investigation. The heck with fighting terrorism and taking down a properly elected President and anyone associated with him. (Unless the latter is coming apart at the seams, and all associated with the effort are heading for the slammer!)
Absolutely. A 15 year old girl is still a child, and should be focused on sports, school, and friends! You cannot be “derailed” at that age by a supposed “attempted” attack via a make out session gone bad. I have several friends who were actual victims of real attacks - this pathetic, scripted, ambush, is an insult to every one of them.
One interesting aspect of this matter is the age of the participants significantly increases the evidence required to even suggest that the intent necessary for any charge related to sexual assault was present. And that evidence simply does not exist.
For adults, there is something of a presumption that physical contact, particularly in a bed, among members of the opposite sex is indicative of some sexual intent. That is not as true for teenagers, and, for example, would be unlikely among first graders.
For all anyone knows, whoever, if anyone, was rolling around with Ms. Ford 35 years ago was doing so not because they intended to obtain some kind of sexual gratification, but because they wanted to annoy her, or show her how wrestling works, or tease her, or a any one of a dozen other teenage reasons.
I have seen teenage boys wrestling with drunken girls to get their car keys away from them, and nobody present at the time, male or female, thought anything was wrong with that. In more than one case the girl's girlfriends instigated it. I'll speculate that even their parents would have been glad it happened.
Teenagers are certainly capable of sexual assaults, but they also engage is a broader range of physical interaction than adults. Thirty five years later it is impossible to even know what the intent of the people involved, if there even were any, was. Particularly if the person reporting on the activity couldn't and can't remember much about it.
