Wikipedia claims she was born in 1967.

“She graduated in 1984 from Holton-Arms School in Bethesda, Maryland.

“She earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1988.”

“Ford first started teaching at Stanford University in 1988.”

Her academic progress doesn’t seem to have gotten derailed.

My daughter has what we call "left right confusion" (slight dyslexia) - and recently got her standard tests back. She had fine scores except in Punctuation, where she had maybe 25%. So I tried gently explaining that we need to get to the bottom of what is going wrong there, and she said,

"No mom! It's just that I didn't understand how to fill out the bubbles on the test! I know punctuation fine!!"

I asked her "well you got 99% on Spelling, so did you understand how to fill out the bubbles there?"

You cannot claim that your life was a derailed mess because of 1 weird nebulous "mostly in my head" incident of near "unintentional murder" and "near rape attempt" - all from a stumbling drunk laughing hysterically - and go on to put in a stellar academic performance that leads to a phD and gig teaching at Standford. That's totally incongruous.

This reeks of scripting. Whoever helped her craft this story took a hard look at the supposed attack and decided it just wasn't enough. So they embellished it a bit more.

"How about if you were to say you feared for your life?"

So they added this crap about "unintentional murder" - what a joke that line is. It is one of the red flags that shows you that the entire thing is a crafted ambush rather than a real attempt at remembering any real event.

So, you thought this guy was a potential murderer as well as a would be rapist. And you were so well loved, a cheerleader and all that, that 36 years later dozens of classmates are willing to publically vouch for your stellar character - yet you didn't actually HAVE the character to warn even ONE of them about this potential predator?

The not telling 1 single friend is simply not credible. Women keep secrets when they are deeply ashamed. Incest is probably the leading category for that, or other type of family friend/clergy type abuse. But some asshole attacks you at a party? You would tell everybody what a loser he is, to shame him. People that keep secrets are usually embarrassed that their body was violated in such a shameful way. She admits there was only "attempted" violation, no actual violation. There is no reason to be ashamed, hence no reason to conceal this "horrible" event from anybody except maybe your family who doesn't even know you are drinking and cavorting with boys to begin with.

She got a BS in Psych from UNC and STARTED TEACHING AT STANFORD the same year?

Sure. Sure she did. That’s how you get on the faculty at Stanford. Right.
