Judge Brett Kavanaugh said Monday he is willing to talk to Congress to defend himself against startling allegations of attempted sexual assault in high school — and vehemently denied every part of the accusation.
The allegations were made by Christine Blasey Ford, a California professor who as a high school student in the 1980s knew the judge and says he attempted to force himself on her at a party.
The accusation has upended Republicans’ push for quick confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. The Judiciary Committee was slated to vote on Thursday, but Democrats and one key Republican have said that can’t happen until the Senate can learn more.
Ms. Ford’s lawyer says she is willing to appear to testify — though it’s not clear what setting she is willing to appear for.
Judge Kavanaugh, in a statement released by the White House, said he, too, is willing to clear things up — though he didn’t use the word “testify.”

I just see oceans of Irony in this whole stupid business. These are all lawyers. And they are considering a man for a position on the highest court in the land.
And they seem to be stopped dead by a wild, unsubstantiated, decades-old allegation which is extremely convenient right now, and which cannot possibly be proven.
And all of these great legal minds are stymied. "Golly! What if it's true?? What ever shall we do??"

Sure feels choreographed, doesn’t it? The letter, waiting until the last second to show it despite having it since July, the cryin’ “victim” “reluctantly” forced to step forward. All of this carefully calculated by the Democratic Party to try and run out the clock until the next Congress in January.
But because school has started, she won't be available until January Break.

If the Democrats/Leftists controlled the Senate and this was a Democrat/Leftist nominee none of this would even be reported by the MSM ... and not just because this allegation is “expected behavior” of a Democrat/Leftist.
Put a couple of the men that graduated with and have come forward.
Apparently she has admitted to being n alcohol in high school and college and having numerous sexual partners.
Her work record , which is now public shows she works 2-4 years at a job and then moves on.
The professor evaluation forum (which is now scrubbed) repeatedly mention her mean attitude and missing class.
Surely the FBI knew all of this when they refused to take her complaint seriously
