Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, is working to set up separate phone calls with Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, before a committee vote scheduled for Thursday.
"Given the late addendum to the background file and revelations of Dr. Ford’s identity, Chairman Grassley is actively working to set up such follow-up calls with Judge Kavanaugh and Dr. Ford ahead of Thursday’s scheduled vote," a spokesman for Grassley said on Sunday.
The aide added that "the Chairman and Ranking Member routinely hold bipartisan staff calls with nominees when updates are made to nominees’ background files."
The announcement comes after Ford spoke publicly about her accusation that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in the early 1980s, while they were both in high school, in an interview with The Washington Post published on Sunday.
Ford, in the interview, alleged that Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed at a party and forced himself on her. Ford told the Post that Kavanaugh "groped her over her clothes, grinding his body against hers and clumsily attempting to pull off her one-piece bathing suit and the clothing she wore over it."

My younger cousin was in the same situation 15 years ago in college: attempted RAPE and she only got away after she kicked him in the balls, AND she had witnesses. I still remember my uncle going out with a machete and my aunt stopped him at the garage, begging/crying him to let the lawyers and cops handle it. (He really was gonna kill the bastard, being a 20-year vet)
That is why I NEVER believed this women like 10, 15 20 years later ALL OF A SUDDEN REMEMBERING they were “molested”. Just like Scott Baio said to his accuser “show me the police report”.

This alleged accuser has said she doesn’t want to be identified. At least according to Feinstein.So...non-story.

Flake is a Closet Democrat.
This is common knowledge. It doesn’t matter what he wants. He is quitting the Senate BECAUSE he is a closet Democrat posting as a Republican. And his Republican constituents were done with is fake act of being a Republican . So one cares what FAKE/Flake has to say about this topic, as he is a liar and refused to acknowledge that he was a closest Democrat. Arizona is done with him.
