Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, is working to set up separate phone calls with Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, before a committee vote scheduled for Thursday.
"Given the late addendum to the background file and revelations of Dr. Fords identity, Chairman Grassley is actively working to set up such follow-up calls with Judge Kavanaugh and Dr. Ford ahead of Thursdays scheduled vote," a spokesman for Grassley said on Sunday.
The aide added that "the Chairman and Ranking Member routinely hold bipartisan staff calls with nominees when updates are made to nominees background files."
The announcement comes after Ford spoke publicly about her accusation that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in the early 1980s, while they were both in high school, in an interview with The Washington Post published on Sunday.
Ford, in the interview, alleged that Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed at a party and forced himself on her. Ford told the Post that Kavanaugh "groped her over her clothes, grinding his body against hers and clumsily attempting to pull off her one-piece bathing suit and the clothing she wore over it."

Ford (awkwardly): Well, it's just that -- it's that -- I'm late.
Senator: This may be useful. How late *are* you?
Ford: Thirty-five years.

There’s a reason she says she “doesn’t remember” where the house was.
Please post that tweet as a new thread. That is really significant if true.
Trump needs to come out strong and dress down the democrats for their tactics Monday. Turtle or Grassley won’t do it. The President needs to lead on this because he’s the only one who can beat the dems at their own game.

Sexism! Sexism! #MeToo! All women tell the truth all the time!
Even if they blow her up and this fails, the Dems will still use it as an excuse to claim that every one of Kavanaugh’s rulings is illegitimate.

Physicians for Human Rights was deeply interested in the welfare of Gitmo prisoners, in the whole bleedingheart torture meme, as is Feinstein, Ratner, etc.
I wonder if any psychologists or perhaps even this woman were involved in the Obama admin “care” or “studies” of Gitmo prisoners?

The group Physicians for Human Rights, which compiled the new report, described it as the most in-depth medical and psychological examination of former detainees to date. Doctors and mental health experts examined 11 detainees held for long periods in the prison system that President Bush established after the 9-11 terrorist attacks.
