No it does not make sense if you think about it for a few seconds. Been there done that grass or concrete makes no difference in high winds ... and he was bracing WITH the wind not against it ... just an overly dramatic bit of acting to bolster the weather hype so prevalent these days as otherwise useless weather men (sic) try to become relevant enough to sell some products.
The response from the Weather Channel was just a lame attempt to cover their fakery.
I remember during one of these storms a reporter in a boat when in the back ground a person is walking in boots, funny!
Even the Weather Channel engages in fake news and fear mongering.
I’d rather have them ‘sensationalize” it than the other way - even with all the warnings that many could be stranded and in mortal danger if they didn’t evacuate, there were a LOT of 911 calls for help by those who told themselves it wouldn’t be all that bad...
OK, I have to say, the most telling part is actually in the upper left corner.
I didn’t notice before, but it posts the wind speed as 29 MPH. Not easy to get around in, but not worthy of that showmanship.
If that’s what it was. To be fair, they also showed gusting up to 48, so he could’ve simply been bracing in case a gust came, which would be wise.
They have constantly tried to sell, from the beginning, the "global warming" crap.. and now they're proponents of "climate change."
