An uneasiness has overtaken the body politic. There is a sense that a terrible clash is about to occur. The establishments contempt for Donald Trump, and their machinations to remove him, are validated by the presidents intemperate counterattacks and the glee that his supporters take in his barbs. These two groups do not simply disagree; they consider each other to be illegitimate and unconstitutional outlaws.
It is true that Trumps behavior is not befitting his office and that a certain decorum and dignity in the White House is not only desirable but essential. Democracy is no different from any other form of government in that the political order is shaped by the character and example of its leaders.
However, there are also many reasons for Trump supporters to despise the establishment: endless wars in which the brunt of casualties are borne by those from Trump country, grotesque public debt generated by vote buying, a two-tiered educational system that ensures income inequality, pervasive government surveillance, open and lawless borders, and on and on. Our elites bring to mind the French aristocracy under Louis XVI, feigning formality yet, behind the scenes at least, corrupt, incompetent, and ruthless.
Ultimately what is most disconcerting is that the divisiveness is not just about Trump: its deeply rooted in two diametrically opposed civic religions. America is no longer one country. These two groups view their national story through different symbolic mythologies.

Fine.
Let’s have the war.
We’ll win.
Stopped reading after that.
All that remains for the war to be completed is the process to inform the citizens. (normies)
Stay tuned, jails about to be filled.

Oh, and 0bama’s was? I’d like to see this William S. Smith’s past writings and see what he had to say about having the illegal Kenyan in the Oval Office.
Stick it where it will do the most good Mr. Smith.

Me, too.
So Trump is undignified but Bill Clintons behavior wasnt? How about JFK, LBJ, and Jimmy Carter? They all behaved in a manner that was undignified. There were probably other presidents who fit that description, too.

We are headed for a lead based solution to our political woes.
It is true that Trumps behavior is not befitting his office
BS.
This guy has obviously never read Americas history - nor has an understanding about it.
(Which would probably explain a lot about the rest of his inspid drivel)
This undoubtedly is the goal of our enemies - Russia, China, all communist and Islamic nations. They have had unbelievable success in weakening the very fiber of our nation. Thank you Democrats, progressives and socialists of America, who have worked hand in hand with those enemies..
There is a perfectly good opportunity to just STOP, if only for a few days or weeks, and consider the implications of overly intense expression of hurt feelings. And just about every human conflict has its roots in somebody feeling all emotional about some slight or other perceived rudeness from another, with a total misunderstanding of the intent or objectives of the other person.
Some 95% of all personal grief and woe in this world is self-induced.
The other 5% is the result of getting in the way of somebody else’s temper tantrum.
The Kenyanesian Usurper and those who allowed him to usurp the office that the Constitution says he may not hold ARE Constitutional outlaws.
Who will win the war depends on how it begins, who has the best leaders, and if the military is split or not.
It is impossible to know this now.
Lots of those progressives are wearing R jerseys.

After a few decades of house cleaning we can have federal elections again. Where is our "Augustus"?

Yes. As if mean comments are the moral equivalent to attempting an unwarranted soft coup.
Like a percolating volcano. One day it’s gonna blow and the fall out for everyone is going to be significant. Then the question will be if it’s going to escalate and to what extent.
This is what the left wants. It believes it has the numbers and willing bodies to sacrifice on the altar of leftism; their one true religion. Their end goal can only be one thing. Total control from that point on.
Our questions to ourselves will be if our freedom is more important than toeing the line to get along. Do we risk it all just as our forefathers did for the sake of our country and its future. Then, depending on the answer to those questions; do we get serious and take out the enemy permanently or allow them to take us out? An even tougher question in a CW like this; how do we recognize an enemy that looks like us. The CW won’t be based on race. The enemy won’t wear a certain kind of uniform. We see them at stores on on the road all the time right now but don’t know it. Will the GOPe be considered the enemy as well?
Who will the police and military side with? Talk about a real mess and all because the mental depravity of the left is so damaged they can’t accept a lawful election. They are not able to function unless their radicalized dem party is in control. That in and of itself makes them non-Americans. Enemies of the state.
