A food truck owner in Detroit, Michigan says she won’t serve police officers or other law enforcement officials because she, along with the “majority” of her customers, “do not feel safe around law enforcement agents.”

The owner of Rocky’s Road Brew, Rocky Coronado, wrote on Facebook Friday that she is “well within [her] rights to refuse service to law enforcement agents,” such as Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security, and local police officers.

Kind of like the “Red Hen” restaurant in Lexington, Virginia, that refused to provide serivice to Sarah Sanders.

Their stand on “principle” has negatively impacted ALL of the businesses in the municipality of Lexington.

From the owner: “The customers already at the truck were harassed by her and photographed despite NOT having their consent. THATS WHEN I REFUSED HER SERVICE and asked her to leave.”

You have the right to refuse service because they are not a “protected class,” assuming they’re white males.

You don’t need consent to take photos of people in public. In some circumstances you may need to obtain a signed release from the subject.

It’s a public street, they don’t have to leave.
