More companies are adopting a diversity and inclusion policy. This time the parent company of DC Entertainment, Warner Bros., and HBO, will employ a diversity and inclusion policy for people of color, LGBTQIA+, and other marginalized individuals.
According to ICV2, the site is reporting that WarnerMedia will utilize the new diversity and inclusion policy for upcoming projects when it comes to hiring, creating stories, and giving a voice to under-represented groups. In the press statement it reads
[W]e all must ensure there is greater inclusion of women, people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, those with disabilities and other underrepresented groups in greater numbers. [ ]
[W]e will create a plan for implementing this commitment to diversity and inclusion on our projects, with the goal of providing opportunities for individuals from under-represented groups at all levels.
This is a similar policy that Riot Games instituted recently, where they started up a diversity and inclusion division, and hired in a Chief Diversity Officer who will work alongside the Chief Executive Officer.
We dont know how WarnerMedia will roll out this policy across the DC Comics branch, the DC Entertainment arena, or HBO and Warner Bros., but we can look at companies like Riot as a perfect example of employing a diversity and inclusion initiative only to exclude whites or actively endorse discrimination against certain groups.
Given how badly comic book sales have been these last several years, it would be a real step back for DC to give up what little head-room they have attained in order to move back several steps. Then again, when it comes to getting woke, a lot of them dont seem to mind going broke. It took Disney a box office failure like Solo: A Star Wars Story to finally start to wake up and get the hint that their propaganda wasnt going to work as easily as they thought.
I very rarely see the Caucasian/Asian couples/kids, on these new commercials.
They are typically Caucasian and Black couples/kids.
Nothing wrong with that, but, it is NOT the majority of couples in the USA, or, that I see in my neck of the woods, or travels.
Herd mentality. Sorta like Target, Macys and JC Penny courting gays a few years ago. These CEOs should focus on selling stuff to the general public and stop attempting to hit .0004% and pissing off the rest of us.
True.
Today was chilly with a an on & off drizzle. I hope that Fall is better than that! :-)
But my sedum have begun to go pink ( really early for that! ), it looks as though we shall have an early Fall.
Hope all is well with you & yours!
How about judging individuals by merit and not by extraneous factors like color, sex or sexual proclivity?
For crying out loud! That’s all that’s on TV now. Why not just exclude normal white men altogether?
> What does the QIA part stand for?
It’s a technical term for “batshit insane”.
“Freaks”
“LGBTQIA+,”
Looks like we need a new inclusion and diversity policy in naming also.
Some letters and symbols are being unfairly left out of these acronyms. (-) The minus sign itself seems to get an unfairly negative reputation. Think about it. Put two of the together and its a positive. Let’s give all alphanumerics and symbols equal representation and truly be fair and just.
I thought + was a placement holder for future determined sexualities?
It’s a good gym, as long as you don’t grunt.

Grunt or give a thumbs up. Wait for it. It is about a minute in.
We have a winner.
Another name for “affirmative action” or discrimination against whites even more than they already do.
I wish I could boycott this trash but I already don’t watch it.
Who cares? I haven’t been to a first run movie in about 20 years and don’t watch much of the crap on television either.
