(CNSNews.com) - At her Thursday press briefing, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi presented a list of issues and groups of people she believes will be on the chopping block if the Senate confirms Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
If Judge Kavanaugh is confirmed, Roe v. Wade, affordable health care, voting rights, common-sense gun violence prevention, freedoms of LGBTQ Americans, communities of colors and immigrants are all on the chopping block, just to name a few, Pelosi said.
And if he doesn't believe in stare decisis as established law, everything is on the table. Again, voting rights, civil rights, Brown v. the Board of Education. All right? she said.
Brown v. Board of Education was the unanimous 1954 decision in which the Supreme Court ruled that racially segregated schools violated the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.
Here is an excerpt from Pelosis briefing where she discusses Kavanaugh:
This week, the nation has witnessed the confirmation hearings for the most radical anti-health care, anti-choice Supreme Court nominee in recent history, a nominee who thinks that President Trump is above the law.
We recognize the right of a president to make appointments. We have a disagreement over a couple of things, in terms of issues and values and, apparently, there's also a disagreement about stare decisis. If somethings established law, is it established law?
But when you go beyond the various challenges, cases that come before the court and say the president is above the law and should not be questioned, he's far too busy to be questioned.
He didn't feel that way, in contradiction to his vile proposed questions that he wanted posed to President Clinton. I'm sure you're familiar with them.
If Judge Kavanaugh is confirmed, Roe v. Wade, affordable health care, voting rights, common-sense gun violence prevention, freedoms of LGBTQ Americans, communities of colors and immigrants are all on the chopping block, just to name a few.
And if he doesn't believe in stare decisis as established law, everything is on the table. Again, voting rights, civil rights, Brown v. the Board of Education. All right?
Our focus has been in--since his name came forward and he was proposed, on health care and Roe v. Wade, because they have such clarity and immediacy for the American people in their lives. And that might be a way to stop this nomination.
Psychopath. Keep her talking.
Keep talking Nancy.
I implore you.
Get rid of that Choppin’ Clock before someone gets hurt!
Pelosi is the hater.
Protest we much
LOLOLOL
Huhhh?
These people have basically said EVERYONE WILL DIE at this point.
No no no no no!
I dont want her to keep talking!
If she does, those dentures are going to pop out of her moth on national television, and Im going to have nightmares if I see that.
Worse than clowns.
I think she is just a liar. She knows better than what she is saying. She is trying to scare traditional dim voters to the polls. The fact that minorities are doing so much better with Trump than with she and Barry has not gone unnoticed. 2018 is her swan song.
You know, the Walk-Away movement is growing, and this broad is part of the reason why. Folks can only take so much.
What pray tell would or could Kavanaugh do to communities of color? Approve of tactics to make those communities safer for Black families?
Pelosi, lady, you’ve hit rock bottom, with a dead cat bounce (again).
Chopping Clock??
Pelosi is a delusional twit. Belongs in a mental institution.
Will someone tell her to stop campaigning for funds, he will get confirmed.
PDJT’s popularity and performance in the African-American community is scaring the Democrats so much, they’re wetting their pants.
Wait till he reminds them that the Democrat’s open-borders third-world immigration plans are aimed at replacing them as America’s “disadvantaged minority.”
Remember Ted Kennedys speech about Robert Bork?
Same thing here.
