Whos anonymous? On todays Morning Joe, several members of the panel made the case that anonymous is Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Trump. First up, John Heilemann made the following points in support of The Conway Conjecture:
1. The perspicacious wife of Charles Pierce of Esquire detected an unmistakably feminine tone to the op-ed.
2. Conway is very cagey; shes the kind of person who would find out that Mike Pence used the word lodestar a lot, and put lodestar in to try to pin it on Mike Pence.
3. Trying to set herself up to be the Carville & Matalin of the future [Conways husband is a big Trump critic], this is a good hedge against Trump failing, permitting her to say I was working on the inside for the Resistance all along.
Joe Scarborough and Donny Deutsch then chimed in to support the theory.

When his name first came up, I put it on my short list. The letter reeks of his arrogant know it all snottiness. He could've had a hand in writing it, even if he isn't the "insider". JMHO
He’s a Trump hater and is on to nothing, but repeating what was written here from Tweets the day this op-ed letter was published two days ago.
Pence speech writer was mentioned days ago.
So cute you believe him after all the lies and BS this paper has “reported” from sources to try and slam Trump.
Bob Woodward wrote it. It’s a lie.
People should tell the media that there’s no point discussing fiction. The NYTs needs to produce a name or shaddap!
This is all about the MSM trying to create a circular firing squad in the Trump White House.
Until proven true assume it is fake.
Well that proves it. It wasn’t Kellyanne Conway.
Tell you what: when the identity of the author is determined, if it turns out to be Woodward, I will make an additional $10 donation to FreeRepublic, and if it turns out to be an actual member of the Trump administration, you will make a $10 donation to FR.
Deal?
How long have you been trolling here?
Why would any conservative cite this idotic show?
Agree. This is an effort to besmirch Trump and sow divisions and mistrust among members of his administration.
They're also trying to seperate the president from his base and turn his base against his people. It's working among the most gullible and easily deceived, like those who have been making baseless accusations against Kellyanne Conway. They should be ashamed of themselves.
>>NY Times apparently already outed the author as male.
But the Slimes think that male and female are a matter of opinion.
You don’t want to know what the other side is saying, without having to watch it?
Mark has been posting faithfully @ FB for years and many of us appreciate his suffering through MSNBC day after day, year after year .... you don’t have to click on his threads if they offend you.
I believe that exposing liberal media bias is a worthwhile endeavor, and have been blogging about it for about 15 years. First with vanity posts, then at NewsBusters, Legal Insurrection, and more recently at my own FinkelBlog.
Thousands of posts, countless comments, and close to 200 FReepers on my ping list, who apparently find this worthwhile.
Thanks, Ed!
What’s the upside for Kellyann? Huge downsides, but I can’t see an upside. If she were exposed she would never be a campaign consultant again/ Occum’s razor.
Right name but the wrong spouse. I can see her lowlife husband doing something like this. He seems like a jealous punk who would try to sabotage his wife’s successful career.
Assume all leftists lie all the time.
This is about Scarborough getting headlines.
