"The Vice President puts his name on his Op-Eds," tweeted Jarrod Agen, communications director for Pence. "The @nytimes should be ashamed and so should the person who wrote the false, illogical, and gutless op-ed. Our office is above such amateur acts."
The New York Times published an op-ed from an anonymous Trump official who said staff members are working to block bad decisions by the president, on issues ranging from free trade to military policy.

If the Resistance was confident and winning they wouldn’t be penning editorials for the NY Times. They’d keep their mouths shut and heads down as they toil away.
That's actually kind of brilliant. I am expecting the NYT to fire her eventually. She's bad news, but they didn't want to admit it, so they held on to her during the recent trouble. But her time will come.
If she is behind this, it gives the NYT lots of instant publicity because of their "scoop", then an excuse to get rid of her when the "truth" is revealed, then a chance to look "principled" because they took out the trash.
Jeffy and Ruthie have their binkies in the same broom closet.
What an insult to even suggest this.
Show me just ONE occasion where VP Pence has spoken less than favorably about Potus Trump.
Disgusting smears of a good man.
Exactly. It sells papers and keeps it in the news for another cycle. Now comes a day of talking-head segments on whether they think he’s telling the truth. After that, the next suspect will be named, and repeat.
I doubt it is Pence, but he has most to gain if Trump is gone.
Pence has to wait 6 years and 2 months to run for president. And he is not a youngster.
I read the thing today. With its central emphasis on free trade and democracy along with copposing Russian "meddling" while praising the military buildup, it sounds like the work of a neocon international meddler globalist. It could have been written by the late John McCain.
Fiction was my first thought. It would be right in character for the likes of the NYT.
WH w/all hands watching/thinking the other guy.....all going nicely according to plan!
Not just WH!
Expanding!
Late 1930s Germany? You ain’t seen nuthin’ YET, kid!
GyG@PlanetWTF???
That goes for all Republicans in office. I plan on calling my senators and rep today to ask why they are not vociferously defending our president. Most of them are members of the same club, the Demopublicans.
For that matter, I may call Pences office and ask him why he isnt more vocal in defending our president.
Mike Pence was born in 1959... next year he will be 60 ...do you consider that as OLD? just wondering.
He is far from being classified OLD in today’s Congress ages of leaders.
This has arisen because the supposed op-ed used the word “lodestar” which is fairly uncommon. Bloggers had found it recently used by the VP in a speech and speculate his speech writer is the culprit.
Pence is just getting out ahead of questions to him.
Jeffie Sessions perhaps...?
Vice President Pence did not write this, and neither did any other senior staff member in the Trump White House. This whole thing is just a ruse to try to sow suspicion and cause disarray among the senior White House staff. They want everyone there to distrust everyone else in order to paralyze the Trump White House and sabotage the Presidents agenda. No one from the White House should play into their hands by issuing denials. No one from the White House should even respond to this in any way.
I think it would be hilarious if President TRUMP wrote and leaked this to the Times. He did impersonate his own publicist once.
All the indications of desperate times for democrats
There are none.
Have you ever heard of "damning with faint praise"?
Trump is besieged by swamp creatures of both parties. They are playing a game that a billionaire businessman from New York knows little about.
At his side is VP Pence, to whom the deep recesses of the swamp and the day-to-day lives of the swamp creatures are well-known.
As such, "not speaking less than favorably" does not cut it with me.
The President of the Senate should be out there with a flamethrower defending The Boss.
Its having the desired effect
Look how stupid some are acting over it speculating
