White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders ripped the anonymous senior White House staffer who wrote an op-ed for the New York Times slamming President Trumps conduct.
The individual behind this piece has chosen to deceive, rather than support, the duly elected President of the United States, she said in a statement. He is not putting country first, but putting himself and his ego ahead of the will of the American people.
This coward should do the right thing and resign, she added.
The statement follows criticism from Trump himself, who called the op-eds author gutless.
The author of the op-ed wrote that there are multiple people in the administration who are acting as a check on the presidents misguided impulses.
We want the administration to succeed and think that many of its policies have already made America safer and more prosperous. But we believe our first duty is to this country, and the president continues to act in a manner that is detrimental to the health of our republic. That is why many Trump appointees have vowed to do what we can to preserve our democratic institutions while thwarting Mr. Trumps more misguided impulses until he is out of office, the staffer writes.
The White House aide says meetings with Trump often veer off topic and off the rails and slams the president as amoral.
The root of the problem is the presidents amorality. Anyone who works with him knows he is not moored to any discernible first principles that guide his decision making, the staffer says.
Any successes from the White House have come despite not because of the presidents leadership style, which is impetuous, adversarial, petty and ineffective, the author wrote.
he adds.
Sanders statement also issued a defense of the president.
President Trump has laid out a bold and ambitious agenda. Every day since taking office, he has fulfilled the promises he made. His accomplishments in less than two years have been astounding, she said.
The Trump administration has repeatedly railed against The New York Times, slamming it as fake news and labeling it the failing New York Times.
We are disappointed, but not surprised, that the paper chose to publish this pathetic, reckless and selfish op-ed. This is a new low for the so-called paper of record, and it should issue an apology
This is just another example of the liberal medias concerted effort to discredit the president, Sanders said.
I believe that, too. Like Woodward’s book.

IDIOT!
From an editorial page that wishes white people dead.
Someone else posting #38 and the same STUPID thing has been posted, here, today by others who need a reality check.
Duh! 138.
I think it is more fake news and fan fiction by the left. How many of these next screaming hair on fire stories do we get a month?
It has gotten boring.
Yes, and you're correct! I not only remember it all, I read & have the book!
It is bulls to try to divide us. It is nonsense and should be treated as such until proven otherwise.
It will most likely be discovered (if the individual exists at all) it’s something like the “Deputy Assistant of White House Travel” or some other peon with no real power or access that just barely qualifies for the title of “Senior Staff”...
Somebody needs to analyze this editorial. If it is a real person, it should be fairly easy to pin down. Even Bret Baier wondered if it was really a man (as opposed to a woman, I guess).

>> “They are desperate.” <<
Without question.
The Left is imploding. That’s the reason for the clown show in the senate.
NY Times editorials are the new Penthouse Letters.
Yep...more lies.N.Y.Slimes is a dangerous ,failing "newspaper". I'm so glad their dark, cheating, crooked,queen- QUEEN Rodham LOST THE ELECTION !!
The crazed Dem/lefties/#NEVERTRUMPERS are clueless; their insanity only makes Trump's supporters more dug in and NOBODY believes their crap, who wasn't against Trump from day 1 anyway.
They don’t realize they just drive us to defend him more than ever. In that regard, they’re stupid as well as evil. It’s beyond belief - who can he trust? He’s like Lincoln with all the backstabbers.

MANAGING FEDERAL EMPLOYEES PERFORMANCE ISSUES OR MISCONDUCT
Addressing Unacceptable Job Performance:
If an employees job performance becomes unacceptable under a critical job element, supervisors should promptly address this matter with the employee. There are two formal procedures a supervisor may use in resolving unacceptable performance: Chapter 43 and Chapter 75 of Title 5 of the U.S. Code.
I've been thinking, today, that yes, this crap slinging is akin to what was done to Lincoln; but worse. GOD save Trump from the end that Lincoln had!
Couldn't find any article. Maybe it was a tv show.
