Senate Democrats closed down the chamber floor Wednesday to protest the confirmation hearings of Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
The hearings were able to continue, but only after the GOP agreed to quit floor business for the rest of the day.
Under Senate rules, committees need consent from both sides of the aisle to meet into the afternoon when the floor is also in session. Consent is almost always granted...

That’s a good piece. They are taking the battle to the streets literally and figuratively. They want to merge those two arenas.
His answers were definitely not on actual potential cases (he refuses to answer those). So when a case comes along to trim back late term abortion everyone knows that “reasonable regulations” will apply, and he’s not on the hook to answer a question about a case like that.

‘No hints, no forecasts, no previews’ Kavanaugh should just use RBG’s line. The Dems idolize her as she rules ideologically, not lawfully . Maybe they would love Kavanaugh then?

Steyn, as usual, is right. There is a civil war going on the democrat party. The bolsheviks are shooting the Mensheviks and SRs. By 2020, the democrat party’s main positions will make Eugene McCarthy look like a John Bircher.
The Democrats are an embarrassment. I hope their children and grandchildren are watching how rude and uncivil they are.
Seems to me the longer this goes on, the more damage they are doing to the red-state rats(ie. Manchin, Donnelly, McCaskill, Heitkemp), regardless of which way they ultimately vote.
So I say bring it on.

The murder of alive unborn is the most important rite to the demoncrat party. The deadness of a democreat’s soul is revealed in its lust to keep the murder inc going in America. The demoncrats may pretend they are ardently defending this or that, but they lie. They are doing the devil’s work, insisting on the murderous practice be uninterrupted.

FWIW, Brit Hume was reminiscing last night about the 1987 Bork hearing, which he covered for ABC News.
Hume vividly recalled the leading Senate Democrat telling him early on it was a done deal, Bork would be confirmed.
But then, he went on to say, things started to spin out of control.
And that was the end of Bork.
Vote now, get Kavanaugh on the court, and end this BS. Absolutely.
