Maybe it’s time to think about selling my winter home in Arizona.
But I live just a few miles from the lakes that hold 20% of the entire world's supply of fresh water, while they're going to be sucking sand.
Sucks to be California.
There is 4 more feet of water in Lake Mead than there was on this date 2 years ago. I guess THAT FACT wouldn’t inspire the kind of panic they are looking for though.
There is plenty of water. It all flows to the ocean when it rains, because there is no (or little) means of capturing the runoff. They gripe about it every time there is a drought & it reaches “crisis” status. Then it rains & all is forgotten until the next crisis.
I’m sure it is been happening longer, but it has been the same since I moved to CA in 1981. Put a brick in your toilet. If it’s yellow, its mellow. If it’s brown flush it down.
What could go wrong with building sprawling cities in the desert.
In Oklahoma they built so many lakes after the dust bowl that few states have more miles of shoreline.
I like how in CA government invited in, encourage and aided and abetted multiple millions of illegals to enter the state, and then these Democrat stooges turn around start restricting water use for the legitimate citizens.
As if millions upon millions of illegals aliens don’t consume water.

I’m only about 300 miles south and a bit east of Lake Powell... and we have had twice as much rain this summer than usual.
And 4' is significant in regards to a lake of that size. And you're right, anything bad or threatening the corrupt media is all over it. Like homeless...Barely a word about that during the decline era of Obama.

AZ and Co have the longest continuous stretch of shoreline for the Colorado river.
Time they do the math and let those states that have that shoreline get the proper per cent of that water.
And Phoenix isnt getting ANY increase from Mohave counties portion like they are pushing for.
We just moved to Arizona. If there is a shortage, you sure couldn’t tell by the way they use water around here. The Culver’s and AJ’s food have misters just outside their places. Our Air BnB “irrigated” (flooded) the entire yard twice during our three week stay, half the Home Depot plumbing section is dedicated to outdoor sprinkler systems. Water kiosks are everywhere as many people don’t care for the Phoenix tap water. No shortage of heavily watered golf courses. It is hard to tell we are in a “drought”. (we like the area just fine, by the way)
