'If this were a court of law' Democrats 'would be held in contempt.'
At what was the most raucous opening to a Supreme Court nomination hearing in history, Senate Democrats repeatedly interrupted Judiciary committee chairman Charles Grassley’s opening statement, demanding that the hearing be adjourned until they had more time to review documents that passed across nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s desk when he worked as staff secretary at the White House for President George W. Bush.
Texas GOP senator John Cornyn, the majority whip, accused Democrats of promoting “mob rule.”
“I would suggest that if this were a court of law, that virtually every member on the dais on that [Democratic] side would be held in contempt of court because this whole process is supposed to be a civil one where people get to ask questions and we get to get answers,” Cornyn said. “I would just suggest we get on with the hearing.”

Well, Senator Harris, I suggest that if you do not have enough information to vote in favor of this nominee, that you vote, “Not in favor.” May the record show that Ms. Harris will vote against the nominee.

You make a good point. As infuriating as it is to listen to "Stolen Valor" Senator Blumenthal, he is doing just as you indicate.

These Democrats are such BS spinners. I mean it’s a wonder to behold. At this point Blumenthal is rambling on asking Kavenaugh to suspend his nomination. Kavenaugh just looks stunned at the level of craziness and dishonesty coming from these nuts. Meanwhile the audience is screaming and why is that allowed?

All the more reason to scrap all the make nice and respectful rules,and fer rid of any rule where the minority can have any voice at the table.
Except when the Democrats are in power, then it's strict adherence to the rules, follow protocol, and maintain decorum.
If Grassley had any cojones, he would call in the capital Police, have the assholes ejected from the room, and proceed with the hearings.

America no longer buy their propaganda. They will use this pseudo news event to encourage the whacko wing of leftists in the party, trying to keep the Dems way left. I hope they keep it up, because all they are doing is guaranteeing a huge Republican turnout.
