President Trump's former attorney John Dowd says he was misquoted in a bombshell book by Bob Woodward, which describes him calling Trump a "[bleep] liar" and cautioning the president that he could end up wearing "an orange jump suit."
The quotes are attributed to Dowd in Fear: Trump in the White House. The book is scheduled for release Sept. 11 but excerpts were reported Tuesday.
Dowd represented Trump until March, serving for nearly a year as one of his key attorneys during special counsel Robert Mueller's probe, which began as an investigation of possible Trump campaign collusion with Russia.
That didn’t take long.
i guess they really do Fear Trump
So glad he came out to rebut. Now for Kelly.
6 Bob Woodward controversies
2. CIA Director William Caseys deathbed scene
Woodward claimed in his book Veil: The Secret Wars of the CIA 1981-1987 that Casey admitted on his deathbed that he had known about the diversion of Iran arms sale money to the Contras.
But Caseys daughter, Bernadette Casey Smith, claimed that Woodward never got the deathbed confession, according to the Houston Chronicle. In addition, Kevin Shipp, a member of Caseys security detail, asserted in a self-published memoirthat none of the agents standing guard over the Casey allowed Woodward into his hospital room at Georgetown University Hospital, and that in any case the former CIA director was not able to talk at the time Woodward cited.
In his defense, Woodward quotes William Donnelly, head of CIA administration, who said Woodward probably found a way to sneak in, and argues that the guards werent there 24/7 at the time.

Bob Woodward is an unreliable source. He will definitely put false words into a so-called “quote.” Remeber, the WaPo say nothing wrong with a Pulitzer for “Little Jimmie.”
We’re now going to see an avalanche of denials, lol.
Who cares? The Prez is doing a great job in my opinion.
Bob Woody Woodward is a known liar whose use of anonymous sources is his phony device of choice. He wrote an infamous tell-all about Reagan former CIA Director Bill Casey and claimed to have interviewed Casey on his death bed in the hospital. BUT, I happen to know his daughter and son-in-law who unequivocally stated that Woodward was never alone with Bill Casey and, further, at that time he couldnt even speak. This yarn was spun to damage President Reagan. Didnt work then, wont work now.
He is the father of phony RAPorting as he obnoxiously and incorrectly pronounces what he supposedly does for a living!
So, Woodard is a liar.
Surprise, surprise.
We have been ruled by the Media for 50 years.
So according to this book, Trump’s lawyers reenacted their practice interview with the president - in front of Mueller! And told Mueller Trump is a liar?? The same attorneys who are trying to protect Trump from being called a liar by Mueller? That is the craziest story about lawyers I’ve ever heard.
The Left won’t care. Just as they didn’t care when it was revealed that Boston was written as an exoneration of Sacco and Vanzetti even though Sinclair knew they’d done it from their lawyer.
These truth tellers of the Left only have to make serious charges against the foes of the Left.
Its obvious that Nixon was railroaded.
He should sue if it’s a lie.
fake news
now they’re moving on to fake books
I’m pretty good at reading between the lines on BS. I gather Mueller confronted Trump’s lawyers with some PUBLIC misstatement by the president. The lawyers said well ok, he made that up he does that sometimes.
Next we have the lawyers telling Trump not to give Mueller an interview - of course that’s true. Every lawyer told Trump that.
But the lawyers telling Mueller Trump is a liar who lied in their confidential practice session - preposterous.
He snuck past armed guards to get a dying man that couldn't speak to confess a crime to him and only to him. All without ever being seen by anyone.
Dude's a ninja.
The First Amendment has its limits.
If the quote is a straight out lie, merely denying it is useless.
If John Dowd can't convincingly refute the second-hand quote (who spoke to Woodward?) which slanders a sitting president, he should just keep his mouth shut!
Some lawyer!
What kind of education props up your mouth?
You don't know the difference between "deny" and rebut?
I do realize that all we have to go by is the lying Enemies Domestic MSM; so lying and misdirection is part of their playbook.
