President Donald Trump demanded to know why DOJ official Bruce Ohr has not yet been fired by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, in a Wednesday tweet.
Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump How the hell is Bruce Ohr still employed at the Justice Department? Disgraceful! Witch Hunt! 10:12 AM - Aug 29, 2018 74.4K 52K people are talking about this
Trump has railed against Ohr in recent days, saying he will quickly revoke his security clearance.
Newly released text messages between Ohr and dossier other Christopher Steele reveal a close relationship between the two as well as the involvement of Ohrs wife. Ohrs wife was an employee of the firm Fusion GPS, which commissioned the Democrat opposition research from Steele.

Because he is a Marxist coup member.
Being interested doesn’t get the coup member out of gov. It gives him time to, as I said, find a judge who’s part of the coup to protect him. Sorry, Ohr should be gone....he’s a cancer still having that security clearance.
I have no trouble thinking that Trump let Brennan have his clearance for awhile untill Trump, or someone on Trump’s team, got what they wanted from following Brennan and his activity.
I like to think that all those coup members are on a leash and that leash is being held by Trump.
Or Trump isn’t winning.
Yep - President Trump is trying to embarrass this a$$hole into quitting. That way the Moron 5 can’t hold up his nominee for the AG’s office.
Because republican senators have made it clear that the DOJ is under their protection and any effort Trump makes to fix it will result in him probably getting impeached. Now the next question is “why are GOP senators protecting an obviously corrupted and politicized law enforcement agency?” I can only think of two potential reasons: They hate Trump so much that anything that benefits him, even if it’s objectively good, is to be fought. OR ... they fear that if Trump has real access to the inner workings at DOJ their own ugly parts in this whole thing and more will come out. Which is it? I actually think the answer is “both”.
What happens if, instead of firing Sessions, Trump just revokes his clearance?
What people fail to realize is the Democrat party is now Obama’s lifelong Reggie Love, they just don’t know it yet. Oh yes, Obama has the DNC grabbing their collective ankles and taking it oh-so-deep for the foreseeable future.
Eventually they will be made to stop talking and will start biting the pillow and accepting their plight.
That's because Trump follows the law. He does not pick and choose unlike his predecessor. There are laws to protect career feds from firing, and Trump had to pass a new law just so they could fire nonperfoming VA employees.
It's almost September and early voting starts in some locations in mid October. For some reason beyond my comprehension, Kavanaugh wasn't confirmed before August vacation. Totally reasonable moves by President Trump still at times get over-turned by coup judges.
If the 'pubs lose the HOR majority, President Trump will be impeached. If the Kavanaugh confirmation isn't ASAP, it'll be stalled until after the election. And blaming AG Sessions for Trump's own failure to act is alienating even more Senators (the 'pub US Senators are mostly Deep State; I get that) and also some early folks on the Trump Train who like AG Sessions. President Trump still seems to believe the false narrative that it was Syria and Russia that used chemical weapons in Syria. We're not out of Afghanistan and Syria. How is that winning?
Maybe some Freeper can answer this question:
Can an FBI Agent or Field office open an investigation on their own if they become aware of possible federal crime or do they have to pass it up to some DOJ attorney? Seem to me they should be able too much like a local cop would do.
Case in point, we just heard that they were seeking FISA warrants based upon information they planted in the press via leaks.
If the answer is yes, then all this BS we hear that the rank and file aren’t involved in this silent coup and are embarrassed by their masters is a pantload of horse shit.
If the answer is no, then someone named President Donald Trump needs to fire every swinging dick attorney in the DOJ.
False dichotomy. He is doing the best he can against the part of fedzilla that is the "deep state". Ohr is protected by due process like any other career fed. Trump will continue to MAGA and get Kavanaugh confirmed and other high priority items.
What does Afghanistan have to do with the alleged false narrative about Syria? Obviously the war machine will keep going until the US defaults and can't pay for it anymore. It can be trimmed and Trump wants to do that. Whether he is successful is still TBD.
The Carter Page FISA warrant was malpractice. There are whistleblowers that have been pointing out the malpractice. There's NSA whistleblower Dennis Montgomery but he's a bit of a hack himself. It's not an easy prpblem to fix.
If the answer is no, then someone named President Donald Trump needs to fire every swinging dick attorney in the DOJ.
Trump cannot fire a department, not just because they all get due process, but the department as a whole was created by Congress and the President cannot defacto disband it.
Ohr can be fired for cause. Ohr can contest his firing, and he can try to get reinstated, but that process occurs after Ohr is out the door.
And I've documented all of this with links when the same issue came up with Strzok.
Trump is right. Ohr should have been fired.
So the answer is no?
The answer is probably no. There should be some employees who have access to the classified FISA records and should file a whistleblower complaint on it. But that would be a relatively small number of people and filing complaints about classified matters is not simple.
Sure, but someone has to do that, and that someone is not Trump.
I think you missed my qyestion. Can a FBI agent initiate an investigation for any federal crime on their own or must they take the info on the possible crime to a DOJ attorney who then authorizes them to investigate.
