That would be a great line for Trump to use over then 2 months— RARELY votes with conservatives and almost ALWAYS votes with the far-left nutjobs
“If this race is close now, thats a good thing. Maybe a Trump visit to Montana can seal the deal closer to the election.”
I would say that is in the cards.
Virginia is for locers
West Virginia is for switchers
A ton of West Coast (Kalifornia, Oregon, Washington) that have moved in to escape the politics of their state, only to bring the politics of their state with them!
Growing up, when riding down the road, my dad used to say: "the only thing you see in Montana are Kalifornians and [empty] beer cans!" (Before littering became illegal.)
This is good news as Rosendale has run a terrible campaign so far. Tester has ads running non-stop labeling him as Maryland Matt who is here to sell out Montana public lands to his developer friends.
This is effective as a number of Montana cities are being inundated with new residents fleeing liberal cesspools and people are tired of all the growth. Add the average Montanans love of the outdoor and Tester is running a good commercial.
Rosendale must tie Tester to illegal immigration & other liberal policies and make people realize that is why people are fleeing to Montana and it will only continue and get worse under Tester.
Snow predicted today in the higher elevations!
Montana is not a Right to Work State. Unions somewhat strong (UMW). Attempts to make MT a RTW State have to date, failed.
there’s something wrong if the R candidate is only 2 points ahead in Montana
what’s the problem up there?
Lots of Californication has occurred in Montana. Especially in university towns.
Mitt Romney needs to be defeated in Utah. Utah voters should get together, and center on a write-in candidate they can all agree on...and, then go forward with a full steam write-in program to defeat Mitt Romney!!! Romney like McCain sucks!!!
WOW! I had no idea. Somehow I got the idea that Tester had a substantial lead. This would be another nice pickup. I still especially want McCaskill out.
How the F does a Democrat get elected in Montana in the first place, let alone only trail by only 2 points?
Except Manchin sees himself as the next Bill Clinton. He wants to be President - appearing to the voters as a moderate democrat from a conservative state. The sane safe place between two extremes - the whole Morris triangulation political strategy. He stays Rat so he can “pick up the pieces” of a shattered Rat party and be the “moderate” standard barrier for the “New” Rat party.
I see a couple of flaws in that strategy:
1) This is not 1992, things are far more polarized, every “Rat party piece” he picks up will be much farther left then he wants to be.
2) He’s not Slick William he has little to no charisma. He doesn’t have any of Slick’s political skill.
3) Not having a zipper problem is not enough.
4) To have any sort of a future he has to go GOP. I think that ship has sailed, his value to the GOP is minimal now. I do predict he will try and do a Liebermann and go independent. I don’t think that will help him much.
Go to the college towns and then find out where all the Californians that want to live in the mountains have moved to and you will see how Tester can win. These are the folks that either have tons of money when they move or can make their money from anywhere. Like most places, they don’t move to places like Montana to live that lifestyle and assimilate. They go there and destroy it like locusts, bringing their liberal BS with them. Just like Asheville, Austin, Denver and so many other places around the country.
MT is one of the toughest states to crack in a U.S. Senate race.
All Mittens Romney had to do was file his papers, and he was as good as elected in predictable UT.
He was in MT a few weeks ago and had a great rally.
Forgot about that. Hopefully, he’ll go up again in November.
