Earlier today Senator Lindsey Graham provided a pathway for President Trump to fire Attorney General Jeff Sessions after the mid-term election. To further bolster this likelihood, Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley affirmed he could now make room for a replacement confirmation in the lame-duck congressional session between the November election and January 2019.
The statement by Senator Graham is a considerable reversal given his prior admonishment that firing AG Sessions would result in hell to pay; and further underlines an increasingly visible acceptance by high-profile republicans that Attorney General Jeff Sessions has been an abysmal failure.

I know both of them started out hating Trump, but theyre practical people. Graham keeps getting re-elected because the people of SC like him and he gets them stuff (the function of your senator or representative!). Trumps policies are successful, particularly beneficial to SC, and theyre rational men.
I also think they’re both basically ethical and have some grasp of the Constitution, and I think theyre as freaked out as many of us are about this legal coup being carried out by the opposition party through state agencies.
IBTZ
Because they know Sessions work is done. Mueller is going to issue an impeachment report to congress. The damage is done.
Yes thats right and they are also saying dont try it before the mid-terms
Yes... winning
I know, right? If he’s suddenly for it I am suddenly suspicious.
I guess thats the biggest proof that McCain has assumed room temperature.
“The damage was done when Sessions went AWOL by recusing
himself. That recusal set in motion this entire mess.”
Yes but grahamnesty and grassley wanted to make sure that nothing hindered the mueller coup. Thus their vociferous support for Sessions for the past year and their warnings to Trump not to remove him. Now that Mueller has the ‘goods’ and the impeachment report ready to go, they can change their tunes for political reasons.
That’s exactly what’s going on.
Graham made the simple point the President doesnt have confidence in his AG. Grassley is angry Sessions wont endorse sentencing reform. What bothers me the most about this entire Sessions situation is the simple fact his handpicked choice for number two at Justice was Mr. Swamp himself Rosenstein...That was sleepy ah shucks grandpas thought process going in...
What a mess. A mess for Flynn, Papadopulus, Manifort, Cohen
and of course our brave President.
And this country.
Are they trying to bait Trump into doing it so that it results in obstruction charges justifying impeachment?
They can claim they supported Trump in his darkest moment, while encouraging him to undo his presidency. Win-win for them.
I just noticed that we haven’t heard anything out of McStain’s pie hole in the last few days. Maybe Lindsey going off the reservation will roust him...
I believe there is little Mueller can do that would make difference in the midterm elections. The electorate is already so polarized that those who hate Trump already will only hate him more, while those who support Trump view anything Mueller does as corrupt.
I 100% support the firing of Jeff ‘Feckless’ Sessions . What a dishrag he has been , pathetic . His early recusal was inexcusable . He has been 90% USELESS ever since . Trump should fire him TOMORROW .
Then the military will finish it
Could it be that Sessions is PART OF THE DEEP STATE?
That is almost exactly what I was planning to post.
Just a slightly different image of Admiral Ackbar.
this helps
what you may not be taking into account is the present poling. Since the Dems will not gain enough seats in the House and the Republicans will gain seats in the Senate. Old Linda is looking to move up the food chain in the Senate
I can’t believe how many traitors there are in Washington D.C.
It’s staggering...
They’ve got what they need on Trump, so now they are positioning themselves to say they were not part of the lynch mob. But they were, they supported mueller 100%. Now they think we will just forget that.
