Earlier today Senator Lindsey Graham provided a pathway for President Trump to fire Attorney General Jeff Sessions after the mid-term election. To further bolster this likelihood, Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley affirmed he could now make room for a replacement confirmation in the lame-duck congressional session between the November election and January 2019.
The statement by Senator Graham is a considerable reversal given his prior admonishment that firing AG Sessions would result in hell to pay; and further underlines an increasingly visible acceptance by high-profile republicans that Attorney General Jeff Sessions has been an abysmal failure.

This is a complete 180 from these two. Senator Graham had said that firing AG Sessions would result in hell to pay for Trump.
Graham is a snake.
Why the complete flip flop?
Well, the Dems are insider fighting.
Maybe we should, too.
Perhaps there’s some collusion that’s come to light between Sessions and the deep state!
While Trump is great on offense, he’s not scorched the earth like I would have expected.
Time to throw down on anyone who gets in the way.
Jeff Sessions will go down as the greatest political disappointment in history.
Are they starting to suspect that Sessions really IS the Silent Executioner?
“Why the complete flip flop? “
Because they know Sessions’ ‘work’ is done. Mueller is going to issue an impeachment report to congress. The damage is done.
I guess that’s the biggest proof that McCain has assumed room temperature.
It’s too late. Mueller will still be able to affect the midterms through his shananigans. But better too late than never. It is disgusting how the GOP allowed the Dems to hijack the Justice Department for the first 2 years of the Trump Administration. Really despicable.
I’m guessing Sessions recent comments had something to do
with it.
The comments about DOJ will never bow to political pressures.
Even though Mulehead’s appointment is a political witch hunt.
Done under Sessions DOJ.
Sessions comments were not even credible.
I really want to believe that.
Maybe Trump told them that if he goes down, he’ll paint a target on these bozos’ back and have his supporters take them down too.
And he doesn’t have McCain there pushing his buttons.
This might also be a warning to Mueller that he might as well finish his "investigation" because his days are numbered.
.
Mueller has no authority to issue anything to congress.
Mueller has no legitimate ‘authority’ at all. He was appointed unlawfully.
Mueller will be prosecuted for numerous capital crimes; that is why he is so frantic and unhinged.
.
Don't let that get in the way of your tiresome narrative, though.
The damage was done when Sessions went AWOL by recusing
himself. That recusal set in motion this entire mess.
Good. Maybe they are coming to their senses.
“Mueller has no authority to issue anything to congress.”
Exactly but that’s not going to stop him. This is a COUP. The rule of law is DEAD.
Plan accordingly.
