Attorney General Jeff Sessions pushed back against President Donald Trump on Thursday, saying in a statement released by a spokesperson that the Department of Justice would not be "improperly influenced by political considerations" hours after Trump attacked him on television.
"I took control of the Department of Justice the day I was sworn in, which is why we have had unprecedented success at effectuating the President's agenda," Sessions said in the statement which was posted on Twitter by Justice Department spokesperson Sarah Isgur Flores.

Yup. That was apparent to most of us after he first recused himself. He has defended rosenstein countless times against criticism...He’s never defended Trump that I know of.
Had AG Sessions started pointing his accusatory from day one, he’d be dead. Understanding, documenting and prosecuting criminal and their syndicates is difficult. Ask Seth Rich. These bastards, Sessions, Rosenstein, Wray & Mueller are all out to destroy Trump, and they are close to succeeding. Trump should roll the dice and fire them all and explain the reasons in a chat to the American people. Appoint a special prosecutor to investigate, Mueller, Brennan, Clinton, Holder et al. there certainly is enough evidence against them.

The appointment of Sessions has just been a complete disaster all the way around. Shortly after taking office, he caves to media pressure, and puts a Bushie in charge of the Russian collusion investigation, which ultimately leads to the appointment of roving independent prosecutor who is investigating everything but Russian interference.
He handed off investigations of surveillance abuses under the prior administration to the toothless IG’s office, basically burying that issue, before an investigation had begun.
On top of that, we lose the Senate seat in ALA-frickin’-BAMA, to a liberal(not even a fake moderate) Democrat.
He only got the job because he was one of the first to endorse trump in the primary and Trump values loyalty. Everyone who has lived in this world for a while knows that sometimes loyalty to an incompetent person will bite you on the ass.
