ury in Paul Manafort financial fraud trial says it's reached a verdict on 8 counts, but remains undecided on 10 others.
The jury in the financial fraud trial of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort suggested to the judge Tuesday that it was stuck on at least one count in the case.
Jurors asked U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III on their fourth day of deliberations how they should fill out the verdict form if they were unable to reach consensus on a single count, though they did not suggest what charge was at issue. The jury of six men and six women also said it would need a new verdict form.

“Who determines the sentence... judge or jury?”
It will depend on Mr. Manafort’s loquaciousness.
...Loretta Lynch, Susan Rice, Samantha Power...
This is a victory for Manafort. And for Trump.
Mueller threw his best at Manafort. And this is the result?
Mueller had unlimited resources, all the money he needed, the best Hillary lawyers anywhere.
And he could not win this case.
Multiple indictments against Trump associates, now multiple guilty pleas and guilty verdicts and yet, not one leftist criminal so much as charged. This is NOT 4D chess. This is the left, as usual, walking all over the right and the right not doing a damned thing. I really don’t care to vote in November. I don’t even care if the GOP loses the House or Senate. Same enemies, and nothing will be done about any of them.

Same as any other trial, you purely on a dog and pony show to introduce reasonable doubt to the jury. He didn’t even try.
I look at this another way. Manafort was tried first.
Manafort is the LOW BAR. More trials are coming, and the evidence against these people will be far better, and the crimes much more substantial.
Talking Point: NONE of the charges occurred when Manafort worked for Trump
+1000
“purely” = “put”
None of this has anything to do with Russia.
****************
It never did. It was just a pretext to open a lot of unrelated doors to fabricate something against Trump.
Trump has been in denial about the seriousness of the plot against him.
I am just disappointed in the result. “....Manafort was convicted on five counts of tax fraud, one count of failing to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts and two counts of bank fraud. A mistrial was declared in three counts of failing to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts, and seven counts of bank fraud and bank fraud conspiracy......”
I wanted to see him found either not guilty or hung jury on all or all but one minor count and the judge to let him go free for time served. Oh well.
Criminal level tax fraud: needs to be some jail time. Back taxes and interest and penalties go without saying.
Dear Lord execute your justice on the evil schemers and the unrepentant arrogant wicked who plot against truth and righteousness. Exonerate the innocent and fight their oppressors. In Jesus name Amen:
I don’t see how a tax fraud in 2005 can be prosecuted in 2018. So, he is guilty of something that should have been over and done with 8-10 years ago, loooooong before there was a Trump run for president.
Now to get to the real crime, everyone of these charged citizens, not the Ruskies, has only one thing in common a connection with Trump. How one cannot see this is a witch hunt angers me beyond words. We now have a one man above the Constitution warlord now. He decides to undermine a president. Special Counsel, actually, a special a hole.
This is one of the key reasons for all these various attacks. Who is going to want to work for the Trump campaign next time, knowing everyone will be constant targets?
It ain’t gonna happen..they are more powerful than God it seems!!

” In a statement to the Senate Finance Committee, (Timothy) Geithner called the tax issues “careless,” “avoidable,” and “unintentional” errors.[55] Geithner testified that he used the software TurboTax to prepare his 2001 and 2002 returns, but that the tax errors were his own responsibility.[57][58]
On January 26, 2009, the U.S. Senate confirmed Geithner’s appointment by a vote of 6034.[59][60] Geithner was sworn in as Treasury Secretary by Vice President Joe Biden and witnessed by President Barack Obama”

Trump did something.
He appointed Sessions AG.
Then Sessions recused himself.
This entire mess can be laid on Sessions.
His recusal set in motion all of this.
Thanks Jeff.
At this point it really does not matter when
Trump fires Sessions. The damage was already
done when he recused himself.
